I think I'm okay with letting Tee learn on the job if you can get Kevin Steele and other VFL's on staff. Let him be like Dabo. Completely delegate everything and be a great recruiting head coach.

Randy Sanders OC (soon to be fired)
Dan brooks DL (retired in seveirville)

And then fill in the rest. Ride that and stabilize the program for 3-5 years.

How can anyone want Chavis back? TA&M defense sucked under him.

I’ll be honest I have always paid attention to the offensive side with Brohm so I don’t know much about Nick Holt. What makes you like him? How is their D this year?

IF Gruden cared about the VOLS and was offered everything, it would be the time to step in and save us.

He won't because he was never offered. The alternative scenario of him trolling us is a horrible thought for a fan base who has always given him "Peyton Manning" devotion.

If he turned us down early, it was on Currie to kill the hope.

Great post. I think we've all been waiting to hear your reaction.

At the end of the day, we should be proud that our morals won out and we didn't allow that scumbag to be the face of our once proud university. Maybe the administration's ineptitude should get us down - but I prefer to look at the positives.

Any coach who takes this job will be treated like a king. We have the support in place. I firmly believe we can still, on the whole, find someone more likely to succeed than Butch Jones. And I think that was the goal when this process started.

Currie has to go. He was made aware of this situation and still allowed Schiano to sign the MOU which could potentially cost the University millions of dollars. Not to mention the embarrassment he put everyone through.

It was not well received when early in the process I said that Currie was a puppet of whoever pushed him into the AD office, since he swept in for the job at the last second. Now, we see all the Haslam love affair for Schiano, and it turns out...

I don't care a rip about credit for it. I hate being right when it sucks

MOU are not legally binding. An agreement to agree so to speak.

Contracts are legally binding documents.

Davenport isn't innocent here either- I can't imagine she didn't know this was happening and did nothing. Fire her ass too and move the AD back under the president. Bring in Blackburn as AD with Fulmer as his assistant.

It’s hard to have a great defense when your offense is Very up tempo and doesn’t have a lot of TOP.

He wanted to come here under Derek Dooley and we backed out of the deal when West Virginia hung 70 on him in that bowl game.

He wants to come back to Knoxville and hopefully he wants to bring the program out of the depths of hell. Give him the money to make it a good financial decision.
