Hey I understand supporting the team and being there for two full days (at least), is the pressing need not to find a football coach more so than being one more butt in the seat at the BBall game?
hey dummy, football does not pay for everything, for your info, the womens BB an softball has been paying alot of it for the last 2 years, get your facts right before you run your mouth

Football is the ONLY sport that matters at this university. If you wanna be a basketball man, then go to Kentucky, Indiana, or North Carolina. Having a good basketball team at UT is fine, but it will NEVER be anywhere close to being as important as football.
Without having an agreement already in place (and he didn't use a search firm), he should never be allowed back on campus.
Only possible problem is he did have a verbal agreement with someone, but that someone is a dud we didn't want.

I know we are all upset over the football program but dont get out of touch with reality:
The University of Tennessee spent $17,185,014 on women's teams and received $8,576,612 in revenue. On average, The University of Tennessee gave female athletes $18,999 in sports related student aid.
Never, not even with Pat has the Lady Vols ever even broke even. And softball doesnt even have revenue.
We got us several VN brainiacs saying Currie's butt in a seat at a few basketball games is more important than being on the job to hire Tennessee's next head football coach.
