i believe i have. honestly, i want gruden, don't think he's coming, and i don't think it's good for our fanbase to keep this up for as long as we have.I only want you to do the same as I'd like everyone to do, and that I try to hold myself to always do: be honest, consistently honest, regardless of audience.
then i guess there's really nothing left for me to say then, is there? i stand by anything i've posted jp. that's all i can tell you.Based on everything you've said in the various threads lately, I honestly believe your position is pretty much like this: "I'd like to get Gruden, he'd be good, but so would other coaches, some just as good as Gruden, and I absolutely do not believe there's any chance we get Gruden, in fact, it is unhealthy for the community to entertain the notion that we can get him."
About right? [I can reference posts, if needed]
those threads have their subject matter, this has its subject matter. as i've said, i've kept my "alternate gruden" comments out of this thread. i try to stay on the topic of whatever thread i'm in.So if that's your real position, say that. Anywhere you are, say that. Say it in the Mullen thread, if you're there. Say it in the "move on from Gruden" thread, if you're there. And say it here, if you feel the need to enter this thread and contribute.
or...........it was a joke in response to GV's "invitation" to get on the train, a humorous quip to convey my honest opinion, while also acknowledging, that i agree, it'd be great to get him. (hence the stowaway comment, not making the investment others have...)Certainly do not say you're on the train, when you're clearly not. I think when you said that, you were just pandering to the Grudenite community.
certainly appreciate you singling me out. hope you have a great holiday jp.:hi:Sorry, shouldn't have conversations this serious, this close to Thanksgiving. But it's been bugging me for a couple of days. I'll drop it now

I do not believe at all we offered Kelly. Too many people had objections to him. Which honestly ticks me off, I wish we had offered him as he's as sure a thing as there is out there.
The narrative that UCLA is going to break the bank for a big coaching hire is laughable as well. The University of California system is not likely to go for a bank breaking coaching salary, they certainly never have before. If Kelly goes there it's for one reason, to avoid pressure.
