Coming in to Wichita Kansas, I look to my left and see a trucking company called “Beaver Express”

Soon folks...

Hyams needs to be run out of town, and he can take John Adams with him. I would have revoked their press privileges long ago.

Any chance Hyams is just delivering the messages as they are handed to him with the promise of full access at some point....

I don't understand why none of the reporters  in these drive-by articles even make some small mention at the financial woes of ESPN :ermm: and the possibility that his "cushy" job :birgits_giggle: won't be around for much longer.

Hooker  doesn't provide any inside knowledge, he's just re-hashing what has already been written several times already.

The state run media party line is Gruden would have to take a pay cut to work harder here than he would even in the NFL.

They don't realize that the NFL is about 3 times the work that college football is these days. Gruden's main thing is that he likes to work and even made the joke that he didn't want college because he wouldn't be allowed to work hard enough.

I'm all in for Gruden, but that statement is just complete and total nonsense

For the most part I agree, but you would only start to hear grumblings on Sunday, not an announcement. The press conference would most likely happen on 11/28.

No reason the story wouldn’t break on Sunday, IMO. If it’s Gruden, they are certainly going to be telling the visiting recruits before they leave.

Maybe the three times part. I don’t think college coaches work harder, though

Yes the part I highlighted. I understand he was exaggerating, but that shows a complete misunderstanding of what it takes to be a coach.

My dad coached high school football when I was young and I NEVER saw him, so I can't begin to imagine what College and NFL'ers go through.

I'd rather deal with 18-22 year old kids anyday of the week than spoiled millionaire athletes for certain, though

How in the heck do you do that? Awesome work!!! :clapping::clapping::good!::salute:

NFL jobs are without a doubt harder jobs than college. This isn't even debatable. SEC jobs and other big Power 5 schools come the closest, but come on. When you play cupcakes 50% of your schedule, it isn't a harder job than in the NFL. Not to mention you are dealing with grown millionaires and not college students. There is a reason guys like Spurrier and Saban struggled to win in the NFL.

It would not surprise me if ESPN is not around for our next coaches search..unless it's via the SEC NETWORK type route...they (imo) are like blockbuster video back in the day

Maybe turning it into a big production for flash in front of recruits...
