Don’t grow weary my fellow Grudenites. This has been a long and dubious ride. However, the end is near. Be it good or bad, we will land a new coach. While I want Gruden as much as the next person, I’m concerned with how long this process it taking. While mediocrity is a cancer, the university of Tennessee is bigger than one person. If Gruden comes, he will add to the legacy. If he doesn’t, we WILL move forward. We will dust ourselves off from the past failures. I’ll still sing Rocky Top every chance I get. I’ll still scream Go Vols to my fellow orange clad commrads while passing in the streets. Have faith that Gruden is coming. But, more importantly, have faith that the University of Tennessee will prevail. Go Vols!!!

Exile AV's post did not sound like anything has been signed, he even said you can't force someone's hand with money. Not doubting at all what you have said and your continued confidence, but what are we supposed to make of that? He is the most connected person directly to this search on the board.

I spent several hours posting my explanation for why Atlanta Vol's post does not state or even imply (IMO) that the agreement is not concluded.

I have no interest (or time) to post it all again.

I guess I missed all the fun. Did circle back enough to catch the GGC Theory (interesting, but more than anything just confirms humans see patterns everywhere), but I've no idea who this Matt fellow is, or why his beliefs should color mine.

I'm excited because we've just entered the window for realistic announcement dates, with the peak day one week from now. It could literally happen any time from here on out. Of course, we'll get 6-18 hours advance notice that the announcement is coming.
