I heard Hyams say that. He and those two coaches can take that and shove it right up their a$$es.

Watch that monsoon last night and please tell me how awful this fan base is. Please do. I sat in it. And somehow I’m the problem for dating to believe TN might take a chance to better its self and not just plow along in the narrative you suggest? F all the way off.

He and Ward are such smug pricks.

Ward thinks it’s funny to rile up people by pushing Fleck so F him too.

Yeah Wally balls. I want Wally to hire the next coach. F them all.

Yes, Jimmy, it's all the fans fault.. We are horrible.Miami is undefeated and we have more fans show up in a monsoon with no SEC wins.

I think we need to take Gruden off these kinds of lists - seems like we are being sent a very loud and straightforward message through various media outlets that he is no longer a candidate. (Although I agree I’d be stoked with him!)

Otherwise I agree with your list.

I know you and I are in pretty similar places on Gruden. I won’t believe unless he is at the podium. I just throw him on there because I know it is our fanbase’s biggest hope.

I literally haven’t seen ONE person say that Gruden is the only coach they will accept. Not one.

Are you serious? Lol.
Try the damn Gruden thread then. Because I've seen an endless list of posters saying no to every single coach and then numbering 1 through 5 with Gruden's name beside all of them.

If you haven't seen this, then you've been trying real hard not to.

I haven't wanted to reveal this prior to avoid stirring the pot, but I have one family member close to the search. My Uncle owns one of the largest media sources covering the search. It has consumed him quite a bit, and he is usually very tight lipped regarding info he gets. Last night watching the game he apparently got a little inebriated and texted my dad some info he later asked him to keep confidential. The jist of the message was that Gruden wanted the holiday to think about the offer, and Currie is doubtful. Patterson is plan B but boosters are less enthusiastic about throwing money at him to the same degree.
If the wishbone doesn't break our way look for a large helping of Mulled Corn.
Tifwiw.

Are you taller than Uncle Brent?

Just kidding, thanks for the info.

AV was dead on about one thing. Enjoy your families and the holiday.

My edition is to have faith, and rest assured that every coon dog has the sun shine on his ass every once in a while.

I hope that's the case, but AV pretty much said we don't have anyone in the bag right now.

I’m wondering if AV has been asked to put out some info (I think it is known he posts here) out to help put out the flames. If Gruden has said no, I fully expect him to come here and tell us straight up that Gruden will not be the coach. He hasn’t done that. You know who else hasn’t done that? Hubbs and LWS. Something big happened this past Wed and Thursday. For Hubbs to post about the text he received that the deal is done, and then a couple hours later finally decide to backtrack, tells me something happened and he was told he needed to put out the flames. Those events keep popping back into my mind that something significant happened. I everyone thought it was about to break, hence all the celebrations, but was then told to reel it in, because we weren’t read to announce at that time. All of this is just my opinion, so TIFWIW.

Don’t forget Hubbs threw out Schiano’s name right after the UGA loss.

Look for his name to pick up steam as we move along.

John Harbaugh is the name mentioned early and forgotten that still intrigues me as to why it was mentioned.

Where’s Charlie Strong going?

If you remember, someone surprised me with saying he was on our list but another guy told me he had not heard this but knew he was well thought of on the hill. I think he would kill it and like him more than the Norvells of the world.

“F all the way off.” Somehow I have never heard that line before. I really like it. Also agree with the rest of the post.

Why Doug Marrone?

That’s NFL Bobo to me

I think he would be a really good hire. Was the o line coach here in 01. That o line was nasty and consistently knocked every d line they faced off the ball. I'll take an educated guess and say he understands from a physicality standpoint what it takes to win in this league. Did a solid job turning around a dead Syracuse program and did well enough there to get an NFL coaching job with the Bills. Went 9-7 in his second season with Buffalo and then left for a reason that I'm not sure of. His Jaguars are about to be 7-3 after today.

I think their handling of Mac was really dumb. Wouldn't surprise me if it hurt their search. Their fans also expect a division title every year and demand a firing/don't show up for anything less.

I would bet a lot of money the above quote was mentioned many times on a UF message board in 2007 with the only difference being the name Fulmer instead of Mac.

So fast forward to 2017. Now people say UF even fires coaches better than UT.

Here's my question? Why is it that everything UF does is perceived as the right and everything we do is wrong? I mean if we hire someone like Mullen I can hear it now, "Ah I don't know if he will work in the SEC East, negative blah blah blah"

If UF hires him the narrative will be "With the Mullen hire they are ready to take control of the East."
