It’s odd to me that so many people absolutely refuse to believe that. It doesn’t change the story one way or another at all but some seem to think it does.

If it’s Gruden, why would we wait to leak it? I don’t understand that. Who knows tho, maybe whoever our coach is going to be will be announced next Sunday or Monday.

Jimmy Hyams (I know, I know but the downside to Grudenmania)

"I had a very prominent booster tell me that 2 coaches, that you would expect to be on a Tennessee search list, already say they had no interest in the UT coaching position. And they specifically cited the Gruden or bust hype"

Who knows if the booster is telling the truth.
I guess if I was a coach though, the fanbase reception and patience level would be at least a concern.

I have literally posted twenty times and listed several valid reasons along with examples of past hires of coaches who weren’t coaching elsewhere and the dates they were hired.

Butch Davis is the only hire announced during the season that anyone has been able to find.

I want a guy that understands from the get go what it takes to win in this conference. We absolutely cannot have another guy who has to learn on the job. By the time Jones understood, it was way too late. He'll need to understand the physical nature of this league and what it's going to take in recruiting. Current college football coaches who fit that criteria in my mind : Patterson, Jimbo, Mullen, Frost, Venables, Pruitt. Gruden would but I'm done considering he's in the running until he's at the podium. Another guy that would check that box for me is Doug Marrone.

Gruden has mentioned respecting other coaches several times and some of his assistants he wants still have jobs. I think he would want to mention at least a few assistants if possible.

Mullen’s season is over on Thursday so if we hear nothing regarding him through Saturday I would take that as a good sign on Gruden.

Just imo, you let the current season finish for many reasons. You gain nothing by leaking it prior to that game.

I will boycott anything and everything Hyams going forward. It’s our fault for being passionate. Show yourself out.

I don’t want a coach that is not ok with that.
