So I’ve decided I will not believe anyone until John is at the podium. If he is standing with Jon I️ will be happy. If it is someone else. I️ will adjust and probably be happy by the time we start next sept.

But even with that thought I️ keep coming back here. And I️ don’t know why. I️ don’t believe anything anymore. But I’m reading all the information thatI️ am not believing. But I️ keep reading it and not believing anyone.

Arrrggg. I’m gonna need therapy after this.

I don't want them to hire anybody. I'm considering retirement next year and I'm going to need something to do with my time.

This thread is the heart & soul of my retirement strategy.

This all day!!!! We need to chill out. Forrest for trees. There is a game this weekend that no one is talking about. Can you not see why they would want to control the narrative? Another thing, in any coaching search when one candidate is ruled out another candidate almost always appears immediately. There is no smoke right now with any other candidate. I find the timing of the "He said no" rumors leaking last night very suspicious.

I️ for one am excited to see what Hoke changes Saturday night. It’s tough at this point to make any major changes without it blowing up in our fade. But frankly we were doing a good job of blowing up in our faces before too.

I️ have no idea how to fix my I️. I’m sure it is detailed somewhere in all these threads. But I️ don’t know where to look.

And all my extra time in the day is spent reading gear threads searching for hope.

Or, what it Gruden was assisting in the coaching search? What if Gruden was involved and was working with Fulmer, PM, Currie, et al. to land UT The Coach, rather than being the target?

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this possibility. I've skimmed a lot the last few days.

My prediction if Gruden turns us down:

Everyone: give us Gruden! Oh, Gruden isn’t coming. Okay, Vols are gonna hire Mullen or Norvell. Let’s go. Oh, press conference tomorrow, it’s going to be Mullen. Guess he’ll be okay here. We can get on board with that.

Out walks Currie with Peterson or James Franklin

2 names nobody is really talking about, don’t think they’re realistic, but would be homerun hires. Currie’s style.

I would almost bet that other than Gruden, if we’re talking about them, it probably ain’t who Currie is targeting

IF we went at Gruden three times and he still has yet to say yes, he doesn't want to be here bad enough. Move on. I want someone who wants to bleed orange and take us to the top.

Sidenote--- part of me still thinks we have him and we will have to wait until the season is over before they announce.

This is a great scenario if it was Patterson or Peterson. In that situation. I will be all in.

But After those two my excitement would wain.
