If we are willing to give gruden 70-100 million then we should have no trouble paying for Matt Campbell. That guy is as close to a “sure thing” out there. Two top 5 wins at ISU is crazy. Thread this morning asking him who Fulmer prefers as HC...

honestly have not spoken with him in a year. He comes to town I try to see him if possible. I need a favor, I contact him and he his very accommodating. Has never refused a request.

I do believe what the dude said the other night. He would probably like Gruden in the job.. I'm sure he would like a good recruiter / recruiting staff.. Currie knows what he prefers.

You think Fulmer is involved or will be involved reaching out to other candidates?

oh I wouldn't say out of the gate no.. I think they check out Fisher, Patterson, Peterson, Mullen and perhaps others... probably have already dinged the agents for interest level. Certainly hope he ends up in discussions with people like that.. could we end up at that level? sure.. who knows. We talked to several coaches before settling the last two times

Do you think Currie is using Fulmer as point man contacting coaches?

no I don't... I suspect Currie uses him as resource like several others including Peyton.. A guess would be using those two if involved with someone they know well.. I just don't think Currie has talked to many sitting head coaches. I even asked Jesse about the one they referenced in report. That is unusual or used to be. Might not be anymore

100 percent on Gruden train. He doesn’t bring up Rocky Top in interview yesterday when asking no college coaching questions be asked if he’s not in. You just don’t do that and I can’t get away from it.

And the guys interviewing him before that comment were prepped not to bring up coaching opportunities before the call
