'Boro, Do you think the Hiring process for the State is a factor holding this up?

14 day Requirement of Vacancy Posting.

Interview at least 3 potential candidates...Seems that during the Dooley and Jones hiring we officially interview some Tier 3 coaches to meet these requirements...

This does apply to "emergency situations" and a Head coach falls into that category

Dude, you've made your point several times. We get it.

I'll whine, Bish, moan, yell and crawl through your screen and thump your noes. Lol.

Hey, my "it should be by now" comments are far outweighed numerically by the "soon" comments.

If you disagree, make a reasonable counter and we can discuss, ignore my comment, or make a childish remark.

I know we are, probably, both frustrated by the wait. We both want Gruden to be the next coach. I am losing faith with each day of silence and I am okay with a reality without Gruden. It is just an opinion and not a world issue.

Gruden is 100% telling people he's not coming to Tennessee.
Gruden is 100% putting out feelers to potential assistants.

If you're gonna take the former and run with it, claiming that Gruden has no interest in the UT job, you gotta take the latter to mean that he's certainly coming, don't you? Football Scoop's stuff is a bunch of malarkey more often than not, and this is definitely not an exception to that rule. How do you claim a guy has "no interest" in the UT job when he's reaching out to former players in the coaching profession? I'm not saying Gruden is coming; I don't think he will. I'm just saying there's gonna be a lot of smoke, there's gonna be a lot of conjecture, there's gonna be a lot of speculation that is way off base...and then there's gonna be a lot of outright lies. Until and unless Gruden issues a statement through his agent to say he's not interested, or until news breaks that UT has hired someone else, nothing has changed on the Gruden front. It is no less likely today than it was yesterday.

I am 100% Gruden but he wouldn't be found within a 100 miles of UT. To obvious and draw attention. Undisclosed and private place for any meeting.

Call all of this "he is in Knoxville" BS.

Per MCBM on VQ regarding Gruden being on campus now..

"I know with 100% certainty he is"

"I can however say without a doubt in my mind that he is on campus right this moment. Which would line up with what I am hearing about Randy Sanders"

Apologize for saying it was a false statement.

If this is true, you don't let him leave without signing a contract (if he hasn't already).

Any vets on here or parents with young children who maybe don’t get a chance to go to UT games who would like to go to the LSU game this weekend? I would like to treat some folks if there is anyone out there that would meet that criteria.

No questions on Gruden front please. Sorry have not been around but things have been moving at a frantic pace and the process must be respected....and I have a duty to AD to uphold that at this point....

AtlantaVol, are there any tickets left? I would only need 3, 1 for me and 2 for my daughter and her fiance.

I'm an Iraq vet.

Rarely, if ever, do coaches get interviewed on campus. They always meet either close to their home or some obscure city like Atlanta or Charlotte.

Why would he not be within 100 miles of UT? He has a son that’s a student and he was in Charlotte last night. If I traveled and was that close to my kid, I’d swing by. And it would be a perfect cover in case I had other reasons for being there.

Just wanted to say thanks to Atlanta Vol and others for reaching out and helping America's true top 1%. Thanks to all the veterans out there living and not!

Drive by information dump.... Casual at that but it was extremely insightful. Don't push the buttons just read and listen to the mans words.

Agreed. That's why IF he is meeting in Knoxville, it's more than likely done. But then again, not many coaches kids go to the school they may coach at. He could show up to see his son, ride over to curries office and no-one ever know
