Guys we got a little close to the flames so the smokescreens / misinformation campaigns are out in full force.

Hold the line

This all should have been done, in a few days, weeks ago with the signing on Sunday.

This is the only business to take care of for 24 hours if you are serious about the deal.

This isn't buying a house. This is a business deal, and not a very complicated one.

I respectfully disagree sir.

If gruden or Patterson turn us down and Florida gets Kelly, I’d take a chance on a new athletic director.

Agree 100%. If we passed on Chip and he lands at UF it means our entire AD failed at their jobs. You clean house because it would be obvious winning isn't a priority.

You did not just compare these negotiations to buying a house as if the house would be more complicated did you?

So is their a VN consensus on media types that are worth paying attention to?

Lol what? You believe a 10 million dollar contract should be something settled within 24 hours? When's the last time you bought a 10 million dollar house and why should this be easier to negotiate and agree than your 10 million dollar home was?

Dear god. You people are ridiculous.

You don't accept until the deal is right. If he comes out and says, "Hey, I really, really want this job." What do you think that does to his deal? Has he increased or decreased his leverage?

This is not buying a car where someone goes back to talk to the sales manager with each counter.

This is just a simple business deal where both parties know pretty well what it will take to get the deal done before they ever sit down together.

This should have taken place a week or two ago.

If you want the job you get the best deal you can and move on. If you are not sure, you stall and see if they bow to the pressure.

Now is the time to say yes or let silence be your no.
