Official Jon Gruden Thread 34

Since we started a new thread, this bears repeating.

I have to say something to those that take one Tweet and come in here stating "well, it's over, can we shut this thread down? It's embarrassing."

Seriously, get out. If this thread embarrasses you that much, why in the blue **** do you even come here in the first place? Put the thread on ignore, don't post here, don't click it.

It's just that simple. If us having a good time in 95% of this thread and discussing Gruden the other 5% really bothers you that much...

Don't. Come. Here. And. Please. Shut. Up.

Thank you for your time and attention.

Spoken like a beer drinken, booger eating, crew served weapon shooting, senior enlisted bad @$$!

I do believe that we are coming to a point where waiting on Gruden to make up his mind can have a negative impact on our coaching search....

If we wait to long and he says no, some of the "B" coaches we have interest in may be off the board.... If we wait that long, we may be in danger of a another Googlename coach hire.

There is a tipping point where for sake of the University that Gruden and Currie MUST make up their mind and make something public

I agree with this point of view, but keep coming back to the thought that this would not be an issue if I had my guy. I have to wait out the bad publicity until the agreed upon announcement time.

Guess that makes me unreasonable. I’m hoping for tomorrow.

Hoping it will be done tomorrow and believing it should be done tomorrow are two different things.

I hope we take our time and hire the right person.

And the Beav talks our more suicidal posters away from the ledge.

I know exactly how this works. It isn't as simple as two guys shaking hands and it's done. It has to go through legal teams on both sides plus accounting teams and ultimately the two parties get to sign. There's always a back and forth, offer, counteroffer. It can take a while. Especially if somebody is on vacation or something. Yes, there has been time. But it still TAKES time. Plus, this isn't the only business either party is having to take care of.

This all should have been done, in a few days, weeks ago with the signing on Sunday.

This is the only business to take care of for 24 hours if you are serious about the deal.

This isn't buying a house. This is a business deal, and not a very complicated one.

Umm what??

Can you hear that noise? Sounds like Slimey Sexton is crying because reality is setting in. As a consolation prize Jimmy, I will take you whale watching next year. You will have the best seats in the house!..this is in reference to the scoop story

It's a long flight, ladies and gentlemen, so just sit back and enjoy the in-flight entertainment.

I still look in the mirror at myself on a daily basis and wonder how many more days I can stand until Gruden is announced. This is taking years off my life.

And if he isn't the coach...well.....

Alex Smith, Chris Leak, Tim Tebow and Dak Prescott. He is coaching inferior talent to far better results than UT over the past 8 seasons. The OC for 2 BCSNC at UF. Urban couldn't hack the SEC after Mullen left.

Oh Lord, they got to you too!

Quick! Seek help!

No one said it had to be filled today. If we've been courting Gruden for 2 months now, he needs to make his mind up.

You don't accept until the deal is right. If he comes out and says, "Hey, I really, really want this job." What do you think that does to his deal? Has he increased or decreased his leverage?
