I haven't talked to anyone since last week. But would not surprise. But it also wouldn't surprise me if it was in the next few days. I understand Gruden is not happy with ESPN and am not sure why they would break it. But I could be wrong on that end. From here on out I would expect something at anytime.

I remember in the RF it was said that Helm transferred because of Butch's language and some of us laughed at him for that because he was so sheltered, etc. Of all the transfers and "attrition" it will be interesting how many other stories will come out. Bowles and Crowder we have already heard rumors of..

Man....the people that call into Basilio are real pieces of work. I always knew I didn't listen to him for a reason, but this is like listening to the Paul Finebaum show. These people are trying to act like they have a clue as to what is going on.

A shout out to other people (like myself) who were openly skeptical of this clown's coaching ability and ethics. Every time I expressed skepticism about his ability to lead this program (especially the first 2-3 years), it was a feeding frenzy of "Negavol" --- or way way worse.

To be clear, there is NOTHING surprising to me about the stuff coming out now. He's always been a terrible game day coach. And there was always something shady about his stupid cliches and interaction with the media. There were also signs with the players that he was just a terrible person. Most chose to ignore it until the very end.

I'm not trying to pat myself (or anybody else) on the back. I'm just saying we should all use this as a lesson. Don't be sheep. If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a ****ing duck.

I wonder if this doesn't lend credence to a confirmation on Gruden. The fact BJ was given the option to finish out (if true) would seem to indicate a) Gruden requested he be given this b) the details/contracts are still being finalized and BJ finishing out allots this time to finely tune c) we've been duped. I firmly believe it's a combination of a) and b). As for Butch's character flaws, they have been well-known for a while. If what's occurred in the past (and this year) wasn't enough to show him out, then I don't believe that was the intention anyway. At least not a public admission of it anyway.

To those giving Swain beef about the Helm comments and doubting that there is anything to the "abuse" story: It is 100% true. Butch publicly humiliated Helm by calling him out during a team meeting and making him write "I'm a pu$$y" 50-100 (have heard both numbers) times in front of the entire team.

I believe you're probably wrong, 92. I know for a fact you're wrong about the Nashville metro area. This is Volunteer country.

We can disagree, no hurt feelings here. I just don't see the loyalty and dedication in Tennessee, specifically central and west TN. And I was disagreeing about our fan base being bigger/stronger than Florida.

I haven't been a poster long.. seen ALOT of things posted about Jones.

Agreed! I don't believe this crap and never will. He sucked as a coach, but I'm not down with all the personal attacks. Think about it: if the crap we heard about abuse of players were true, he would have been fired with cause way before today, end of story!

I agree, and bashing the man does no good at this point in time...but to his credit, once it was evident that Butch wouldn't be back, Swain has been saying this for weeks now. Not straight out calling him sub-human, but saying "Just wait till the stories start coming out after he's gone.". It made me wonder what in the world he could be talking about...but then again it could just be some slight, like Butch not giving him an interview or something. Or the Davis situation may have po'd Swain.
