That is why I asked how it is legal under NCAA bylaws. I question this as well. Do not know how it is possible.

Here comes the news that Gruden is more inclined to take Bucs job. I think if he is going to coach again it will be at Tennessee. Plus, if that offer of $10+ million, whether it be base or not, that would make him one of the highest paid NFL or college coaches. I know Saban makes over $11 million with bonuses and incentives.

If it were about money he'd have signed already.

I know... there is so much emotion in here today it is difficult to maneuver through it.... I have tried to back away, starting with yesterday and review what was said, what I heard and what I understand....

I am solid here...

1. I am in that group that says "I want Jon Gruden"
2. I am not sure that Gruden wants Tennessee
3. I believe there has been some talks with Gruden
4. I cannot confirm Gruden from my source
5. I am sure there are some people trolling the crap out of this board
6. I think Currie is determined to prove he is in charge no matter the cost to Tennessee football
7. I will try to keep my opinions to myself and stop posting after today


PS/ I reserve the right to change my opinions as I receive more information and more or new things come to light

Best info trickles in, in very small tid-bits. That's the best many of us can do. MIT_Beaver went further than he had to and was spot on. What ever deal that is gonna be made has already occurred which leads me to believe that there are only 2 top coaches in position, (free), to enter an agreement prior to season's end.....Gruden and C.Kelly. One of those 2 is the new UT head ball coach as of late Wed. nite, early Thur. morn.

Many expect it to be announced today actually.

I don't think the credible rumor was that Gruden was using the jet to recruit, but that he was using it to interview staff.
