I'm taking all "insider" info with a grain of salt at this point. There's just been too much back and forth for me. It's done one day, hurdle the next.

Been done for weeks yet BJ coaches. Lost the locker room players fighting the only person who looked like they were playing hard last night was McBride and he’s lucky he didn’t get killed as many hits as he took. He’s got some balls. With some coaching he could be really good

I would think if Gruden really wanted the job, and the BIG boosters want him, there should be no hurdles it should happen with ease.....JMO but in 2012 seems like it was the same song and dance, and someone came in last second and nixed it all. Hope we are not trending on that same path in 2017

Yes. This is the single constant I cling to as a sign of hope. AtlantaVol knows. He would have posted it was dead I think.

Yep...agree. All of these "Facts" over the past month haven't exactly happened. It's starting to take the typical troll route in that it's 100% done to now there are hurdles/snags.

My hope is 100%. My belief is 0%...gotta see it happen.

He is very very reliable, and in the position to know. He was at 70% and had a meeting to attend regarding the AD. He said if the meeting puts him at 100% he won’t be back in the forum. Too much to risk if he slipped and gave it up

I'm fairly sure the meeting he referred to was the blackberry farms meeting trey Wallace reported. If so, he definitely knows. If the deal was dead, he would be under no obligation to stay quiet. If it was on, he would be told to keep quiet.

Yea I remember him saying that now. Or would he even come back if Gruden deal was nixed because he would most likely hear who was in play other than Gruden. So either way I don't think he would show up with any info

He doesn't have to talk about a new coach. He can address the state of the program. Butch's future. What he needs to do to remain the coach at UT. What's acceptable/what's not acceptable. The normal stuff ADs talk about. He's not saying anything. Nothing. Nada. That's what's driving people insane about him.

This. So much this. There is nothing stopping Currie from saying something like “we’re not happy with the state of the program, We intend to get back to winning football. But right now BJ is our HFC, we will re-evaluate everything at the end of season”

Wouldn’t like that answer, but it would at least show that he’s somewhat deeply perturbed by it.

It’s telling that he has neither come out and said we support BJ nor has he said he doesn’t, He has dodged every opportunity to make it known what side of the fence he’s on.

Which leaves him an out, but also means he’s taken the heat/blame for the inaction, and for why?

All, this could’ve been done, with or without waiting for Gruden’s response.

Didn't Skeeter say he was officially out of the loop in January? The fact that he says Gruden's name has not been mentioned tells me that's the case... Even if Gruden isn't the next hire, there's been too much chatter from those who are well-connected to say that he is not in the discussion.

He might have only knowledged it in January but he’s been out of the AD for years.

I disagree. He would drop a 5% or something to put out the fire he started. He’s a fan too. He knows how we hurt.
