I'm on mobile 90% of the time..switching to PC to bold is hard. I wasn't here in 2012 so I have the youthful exuberance that this is a done deal. I'm all in. I'm the go big or go home type though.
I'm not worried about anyone saying that I wasn't all-in the whole way.
However, I do think everyone needs to recognize that Boro and DTO just quietly had a conversation indicating that they both have a LOAD of info more than has been on the boards.
That being said, they also just mentioned that no one should get their hopes up for an affirmative move on this coming Sunday.
So, all of you true Gruden-Thread faithful, put your hand on your heart and repeat after me:
"I promise to not lose my cool, or the faith, even if there is no announcement on Sunday. I understand that the presumption for a long time was that Butch would last the entire season. When everyone around me is freaking out, I will stand up and remind them that this doesn't mean anything. The timeline is still in place."
Tennessee isn't hurting in the money department. Will be plenty to disperse among assistants!
Only my second post, long time lurker. Been on board and lived through all the Grudenmania from 2012 to present. I was all in then, all in now: 100% Gruden is coming this time. I have no inside info, just bleeding orange hope. BTW, user name has nothing whatsoever to do with butch... I happen to be a Jones and a Vols fan, just wanted to clarify that.![]()
They want to groom an a VFL for the eventual HC job but JG could end up being here for quite awhile. JMHO
I would lean toward after LSU or Vandy. The announcement of Jones stepping down will be when we are not Bowl eligible.
I just want them to announce Gruden soon. I work with UGA, Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, Clemson, Bama folks and everyday they give me a hard time. One of them even taped the bashing on 680 fan today about us screwing the Patterson deal so he could play it for me. I can't wait to rub in their faces. Surprisingly the Fla folks have been rather quite.
On a side note I saw a rather large fellow last night in the murder Kroger riding in one of those "little rascal" mobile carts. He was hammered and kept running into the shelves. He also had an MIT fleece pullover on. I started laughing and ask my wife if he could be the Beaver. Almost took a picture of him, then I felt bad.
