I'm beside myself when people say they quit watching the NFL over the anthem stuff.

Like, I always meander my way to Fox/CBS around 12:15 anyway and I miss what, like two plays? And people are purposefully boycotting the NFL over whether or not someone stands?

Do these people stand up at home for the anthem? Gimme a break

I don't boycott it, but it's their right. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. People are free to do what they want just like the players not standing.

Pretty simple to understand.

Another poster on VQ.

I've know Warner for a long time. His actually from Dyersburg. Practiced with his cousin for years. His brother is a judge in Trenton and we went to games together years ago. I'm not saying this is true, and Warner can be a strange bird, but he knows UT football. He was the unknown poet that called into the talk show after games years ago. He got himself, his brother and I on the air in the studio with Booby Scott etc. after a Vandy game one time. Some good stories about that, but I got to go see the afternoon patients

I was duck hunting in Dyersburg 2 years ago and went to the cracked barrel to eat dinner. We sat next to the guy from full throttle saloon. Weird he was in Dyersburg. Cool story bro.

Micheal Ballard is from Trimble TN. Where i am working right now. Same county as Dyersburg. Want me to bring you some apple pie Sloonshine from his distillery here when i come to LSU game?

If Patterson or Gundy is impossible, Mullen is my 4th choice.

Gruden
Frost
Kelly
Mullen

Put those names you mentioned ahead of Mullen at Miss St during the same era that Mullen has been there. Now ask yourself, do you think they would have gone to 8 straight bowl games, had the first 10 win season in almost 20 years, and be the only coach to EVER have three 9+ win seasons. This is at Mississippi St, one of the worst college football programs in one of the best college football conferences. It is pretty remarkable what he has done there.

Gruden would never go there, he’s far too elite so won’t mention him.

Kelly yes.
Frost Idk

Warner Agee 2012

The "Blood Bath" occurred on Wednesday between AD and BTB (Big Time Boosters). I'm not sure that they can be repaired. It will be interesting so see how much financial support will be offered to the next candidate.
I'm not sure what you know, but is there any truth to a meeting between only Hart (no boosters present and without their knowledge) and JG/Lamonte....immediately after Gruden would no longer take calls from anyone affiliated with Tennessee.

Same person told me Hart was against the Gruden hire from the beginning and was furious that contact had been made before Dooley was fired. Also, before thanksgiving, boosters went over Harts head to Cheek and got him fully on board 100%....the 18 million resulted from this.

Also, the week leading up to Alabama, three prominent boosters met with Gruden face to face and got a verbal agreement. A few days later six boosters agreed to finance Gruden's salary, the current staff's buyout. The only thing the University would be responsible for was Gruden's staff and a few of their buyouts from other schools. Boosters wanted Dooley canned following SC loss but Hart was still wanting to bring him back for a fourth season. After Troy and Hart still refusing to make a decision, two of the six boosters dropped out of the financial agreement.

Heard all of this from the same person. I have confirmed some of it with a few people that know more than me. Haven't wanted to drop such specific details but I don't think it really matters anymore.

Finebaum

“No one is trying to hire Gruden other than Tennessee fans. He got ran out of town in Tampa after winning a Super Bowl with Tony Dungy’s players.”

Said he doesn’t really understand why we are so enamored.
