That was kind of my thinking but it sure seemed to have a few folks fired up in here last night.
Chris Landry on Bill King's show just said that no one in the NFL wants Gruden and that he is way overrated as a coach. Says he struggled with young players and basically ran Tampa Bay into the ground. Said Tennessee can get a way better coach for half the price.
That's cool. My FIL is an upstager for bands of all kinds. He spent a long time with Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. He used to send my family swag from whoever he was hauling gear for. My MIL doesn't like it because he's gone all but a few weeks a year. He's been OTR for around 30 years, it's all he knows. Personally, I don't mind hard, physical work, especially if it's doing something outside the trade I'm currently in because I like new experiences. I'm 35 and haven't done much traveling and my dad is retiring next year and I've been thinking about whether I wanted to stay where I am or start doing something else. I've been doing the same thing for the last 13 years and I'm burned out. My wife wants me to work here for 20 years and leave to get most of my 401 and move to the Midwest, around Wyoming or Montana. I'll die with a smile on my face working as long as it's a rewarding job, no matter how tough
I have a friend here in Texas that is a walking Wikipedia page for Texas history. When he starts on one of rants about Texas, I post on his FB page, "Tennessee says hello". He always acknowledges the many ways that Tennesseans impacted the outcome.
Texans are very prideful about their state, however I don't think that they are taught where the help came from. I do like to remind them though, in a friendly kind of way.
If it takes more than one day to take them down, if youre out of state, do you just stay at a hotel or camp out or something? Haha. I know thats a dumb question. But just wondering. My mind is weird like that lol.
