I wouldn’t say zero because Muschamp and sumlin and are friends but yeah the odds are very, very low. I don’t think they’ll fire Roper anyway (even though he’s statistically the worst OC in the SEC the past two years)

No idea why he brought him there

Man the Gruden thread makes me understand why TOOL always chose anonymity. People will go straight FBI on your ass. Sometimes its good to be a nobody.

Good information. One site that I did look at showed that UT had more yards per game in 2016 than MSU. 2015 was only 14 spots lower. I am not surprised at all that CBJ's teams in 2013 and 2014 were not that good in YPG.

The other thing is that the schedule in the west evens out a little bit when you don't play a P5 OOC opponent. I know that I have harped on this before, but you have to dissect the schedules while Mullen has been there. He didn't play at Oregon and a home and home with OU. I am not making excuses either- I want a new coach. But it is reality.

As far as my comments from my friend about MSU's OL, it was just something that he specifically stated. His father knew Jackie Sherrill personally, and they are a family of alums. I believe they are thrilled with Mullen, but the comment made me think that they believe the loyalty to the OL coach may have been holding the team back. This friend also said that the bad relationship between Mullen and Stricklin was overblown- Stricklin just didn't extend him before he left. He said Stricklin was one of four high level AD members in the room when they hired Mullen (Stricklin was not the AD at the time). One thing that is holding back Mullen going to UF (besides Mullen's wife) is that Stricklin would not be well received in Starkville when he has deep ties there and his family lives in Jackson, Mississippi.

Just shedding light on who I have spoken to about the situation. I wouldn't be disappointed with Mullen, at all. I am just not sure that he is a championship caliber coach. At this point though, let's get to Atlanta and anything can happen.

I think Rivals just based theirs on regular season. I kind of like that better because bowl match-ups are such a crapshoot. Agree on Stricklin and the ties. Also agree on the Mullen in terms of championships. Not sure we can say for sure with any of the possibilities other than maybe Gruden. I'm with you, get to Atlanta and see what happens.

Lol you didn’t exactly go in there looking to make friends and relive 2012 times.

Lol.

I just thought somebody needed to tell them how ridiculous it is to think Josh Mcdaniel might be our OC.

I'd love the guy to be our HC but that is a stretch much less OC.

Look, when you go into that thread it’s understood you suspend disbelief at the door.

You don’t go in there and take a big dump and leave.

It's definitely high entertainment during what could be VOLS worst season ever. It's actually better than 2012. (Tonight features: Guy taking pics of MNF trucks parked at the Holiday Inn, Bubba and his Bitcoin cryptic message)

It’s a wild night. I love it.

Lol I bet Gruden told the trucks to make sure they went through Knoxville just to mess with VN. They really are there, some guy from the gruden thread went and took a picture.

Wouldn't be surprised. This is up there with wearing an orange tie

Give me a great recruiter 1. who hires people that can teach/coach/develop those they recruit 2. who recruits guys who play a certain identified system 3. who recruits teammates and leaders not prima donnas.

Pre madonna. Good grief :)

I really would have thought that Muschamp would have learned at Florida. I know that Roper is a Cutcliffe disciple, but he just has not done well as an OC yet.
