I think the basic reasoning is sound here. HOWEVER, I don't think it would apply to Cade. I think any coach worth his salt takes Cade on talent alone.

I understand you and the Mr. had a chance to see him play and were underwhelmed. I have looked at more of his film and would probably err on the side of that being a fluke game. But then again, I'm not a pro at this like Mr. SFD is.

I am not worried about recruiting in the least bit in all of this...
As has been stated many times, the right coach will fix it.

I am certainly not worried about Cade, as his father is a former lineman at UT and a VFL.

The former players are all in on the Gruden train.

You get new info Tuesday? Or you just joining in on speculation like the majority of us who don’t have any connections lol?

I think he's just making a common sense statement. Of course, common sense also would've dictated that Butch wouldn't have coach last weekend.

Quite possible.
He would definitely want his own players.

If that is the case then someone behind the scenes is doing a lot of scrambling learning about this year's class of recruits.
keep up the good work Atlanta Vol, we accept your absence if for no other reason than that 👍

I think the announcements will come before the end of the season. You have to get recruits to witness the atmosphere at Neyland. Making an announcement before the Vandy game brings renewed energy to the fanbase and gets Neyland electric for that Vandy game.

So I'm getting very concerned for a VN member (Charlie Kelly). He has posted at least everyday since Halloween and now nothing. His last post was at the exact same time he left. Again, if someone knows him can you let us know he is ok.

reckon you could get freak to reach out to him with whatever info he has?

Went to bed after a pretty boring Gruden day...just in time for a little beaver drive by. Very busty this morning. What did I miss? Thanks!

Soon!!
PS

Nega's....GTFU!

Hawk,

I never ran down your post. Could you paraphrase what you said? Thanks.

If you're interested in flying in the Reserves/Guard go to the unit you want to fly for. Everyone is short pilots. If you're by Knox go to the Guard unit there.

I am not looking for proof but enough evidence to point me that direction.... I am glad you are sold on Ergen... the one thing that has lead me to thing this could have legs is hearing that Hubbs said he was more involved than normal

If Hubbs said it, I would lean towards it being true. He very rarely throws something out there on a rumor.

agree completely.
bring a coach with proven ability and that can help prepare these young men for the next level, and the recruits will follow. Especially those with UT ties. (for instance trever Lawrence will be fun to watch. he was hung ho Vols until Butch's in home visit. He told his dad Butch was a "clown"and changed to Clemson. A Gruden hire may flip that. He definitely liked what he saw before.)

Do you really think most of the money guys want Butch to stay? If you do fine, I DON'T. I know how some in the administration feel, but I don't think they are in the majority any more. I KNOW that there are many in high places that are ready for major changes. We will see, SOON!!!!!!!! GRUDEN TO THE HILL!

No I do not. However, I don't think for a second that if the fans want coach A and the money guys want coach B that coach A even gets an interview.

As I have said before I think Currie truly believes the guy he is targeting is a home run and will save the 18 class and will be the savior of the football program.

If I remember reading correctly, someone said they were making multiple 50 dollar bets (max amt allowed) with a total of $500 - so 10 bets, and the line moved from 1800 to 1200. So imo, it don't take much to move the line because not many people are betting on it in general.

That was me. It was over a span of 15 minutes.

I have certainly suggested it may have just been an off night.

I too doubt that Mays is an intended target of the attrition. I just think it is possible that Gruden wants to get the numbers low so that he gets his picks. I'd venture to guess that every single decommit would be willing to come back if asked by gruden.

We've both been on the same page with that. Gruden's announcement solves the recruiting problem almost overnight.
