You're right 10-2. I'm not sure on the inheriting vastly different programs.

USF was a perennial 8 win team under Jim Leavitt when he left in 2009. In 3 years Skip Holtz destroyed USF with 8 then 5 then 3 wins. And they had never won double digit games in school history

O'Leary won 10,12, and 9 games in the 3 years preceding the winless 2015 year.

Historically they might not be vastly different but the state of the respective programs when Frost and Taggart took them over are vastly different IMO.

If we're fortunate anough to get Gruden, I'd like to see him bring in cooridainators with lots of college experience. They would have a better idea of how much playbook you can install in a more limited timeframe without overwhelming the players.

Can anyone familiar with Taggart tell me why he's a hot candidate? I looked at his record and his 11-2 season is impressive but the rest of his seasons don't seem great, including the Ducks this year.

Edit: meant to say I don't know anything about him too that's why I'm asking

He's walked into a bad situation every where he's been.

WKU was AWFUL and look what they've done in recent years; Taggart initiated that.

USF had been on a rapid decline and he took them from 2 wins to 10.

He started off 4-1 with Oregon until Herbert went down. Plus his recruiting class is looking great

He's 41, he can recruit his ass off and he's turned around every program he's come into.

Nice! Let me know how it goes. I know it won’t be perfectly smooth but I’m excited to try it and if it’s good enough I’m going to cut the cord when my direct TV contract is up.
