i feel for you on that part and side with you but your problem is you have done this everyday for a month. Your childish bs is the same thing everyday all day. I understand everyone coming at you because it happens to me all the time but stop saying the same thing everyday for a month. At least be intelligent enough to change the things you say.

Very easy. Watch out guys. I'm about to repeat myself. But look, he asked me the question. Again. So I'm going to answer him.

He can freaking make a statement. Not hard. He can say that we are going a new direction after the season. He could have already fired Butch and I believe a lot of this stuff would be avoided. Antone would still be here for example, and from multiple accounts the players love him. He could be of help right now. There are multiple things he could do. He hasn't done anything though which has made matters worse.

Why do you think he didn't do those things? Almost everybody everywhere is saying Butch is done. Granted there are a few who dissent but not that many. Even Shoop said nobody is stupid - we know what's going on.

I think they've charted a course with multiple outcomes which we are not yet privy to but I think that's the way it's done. I understand the frustration and skepticism and the heat of the situation is likely to grow. It's only natural. I'm just waiting to see what happens and if you physically, mentally, and emotionally survive this transition.

This is just my take on that and maybe I'm missing something.....

I've never understood the thought of CBJ sitting down with Currie and negotiating to take less.

If he wants the full amount all he has to do is say "fire me. I'm not negotiating."

This is why we shouldn't take anything said right now to the bank. People saying the buyout has already been negotiated, Butch knows he's gone, etc. Then other people saying Currie hasn't made a decision. Blah blah blah

We will know when we know. Until then, no need to get too excited not too upset.

Never EVER been so anxious to see a Vol football season end. Sad times

I did see where Hubbs said he thinks Mullen wants out of Starkville.

One thing to consider: OM fans blame Mullen for their woes with the NCAA. If he doesn't get out of town, they will try their damdest to bring him down and they already took the scalp of one State coach. The Mississippi schools are as bad as AU/UA with regard to hating one another but they aren't smart enough to know that a war like that brings both programs down. Bama and the Barn eventually figured that out.

I don't really find anyone on the board annoying at this point to be honest. Even D4H has been making good points about us needing to sack up and demand more as fans.

Bruin is doing his thing but always makes good points (here and there, lol). And Bass just wants what's best for the Vols.

Nothing like a terrible product on the field to unite us.

Gruden will bring us all together.

You're missing the point. It doesn't matter what Currie is doing behind the scenes. He is making everything worse by his silence and inaction. Nobody knows whats going on all we see is our top recruits decommitting and Butch trotting out there and losing games we should win. Fan unrest is bound to continue because of his silence and inaction. He should do something.

Empty Neyland, though it didn't work, would never have been a thing had Currie just said or done something. And let's not forget the situation with Antone. But Currie still didn't do anything. And in this case, perception is reality. He owes it to the fanbase to give us something but he hasn't.

Wooooo saaaaaaaaa
Woooooo saaaaaaaaa
Wooooooo saaaaaaaaa

Edit: But I am hopeful Bass that things turn out for the best. I hope Currie has a plan.

It would be nice if he would say that. But all we have is speculation. That is what is making this matter worse.

No announcement creates a positive situation.

"Butch will be out in 2018 but we're going to let him finish the year." Players immediately check out and start looking to see if they should stay in Knoxville or transfer.

"We support Butch 100% and are looking forward to next season." Bass has a stroke.

Let it play out.

Man, arguing with Bass has become worse then arguing with Bruin. Well, maybe not, but it’s close!

Not even close. Bass appears to be in panic mode but at least it's out of passion for the program. Bruin is just an arrogant know it all that likes to talk down to people and start arguments just to go against the masses.

Bruin will always hold that crown.

It's not obvious that his silence is making everything worse? I don't know what to tell you then because that is clearly true.

It is what it is, huh? That good enough for you? Okay. I'd rather our AD try and keep Mays and the rest of our recruits and try and help us win a bowl game. But to each his own.

I'm sure Mays knows Butch is gone. I think there are plausible explanations as to why Currie thinks it's better to wait, many of which is as fans wouldn't know about.

The only thing that would make me livid is to find out that he truly hasn't made the decision to let Butch go. Now THAT would show incompetence.
