The fact that you used the Florida example, which is one game, is pretty telling as well. And I never said anyone else was overreacting, but, you know, narrative and all.

I used the Shannon example ONCE. You don’t do ONCE very well. :wink2:

I get your disposition but you're in a reactionary mode. To satisfy you might actually torpedo our best opportunity yet no one seems to be able to help you understand that. I would say almost everyone here and elsewhere in VolNation are just as anxious as you but many understand that there's not much we can do except try to be patient as long as we can. I'm skeptical that we'll pull off the Elvis hire but I can hope and I have no choice but to await the announcements which will come at a more appropriate time. In fact the less I KNOW, the longer I can hope. :)

You mention blind faith - what is your alternative? What specifically do you want the AD to do to enlighten your faith? Is that even possible if you have any inkling of an idea about how a process like this is conducted? I don't see a lot of posters here exhibiting blind faith - well, except for those who are backing Mike Bobo. :)

Very easy. Watch out guys. I'm about to repeat myself. But look, he asked me the question. Again. So I'm going to answer him.

He can freaking make a statement. Not hard. He can say that we are going a new direction after the season. He could have already fired Butch and I believe a lot of this stuff would be avoided. Antone would still be here for example, and from multiple accounts the players love him. He could be of help right now. There are multiple things he could do. He hasn't done anything though which has made matters worse.

Here's what I don't get... If the team is so fractured (and I believe they are to at least some degree) why are they still playing hard?

IDK, maybe they aren't fractured so much as rudderless.

My take is the ones that hit the weights and try hard are pissed at the loafers.

If Currie could announce a coach today, he would. He can't so he lets Butch continue to go on while he performs his search behind closed doors and before media goes crazy stalking candidates. It's really not that hard to comprehend

I would be pissed if my team was stinking it up and I knew why.

I used to get mad at my teammates when they'd ease up their play near the end of basketball games. Didn't matter if we were ahead or behind. It made me so damn mad, I couldn't see straight. I never really considered they might just be exhausted. lol.

Bass, I may have piled on a bit, but I am saying that voicing your opinion repeatedly will put you in the same class of poster as Bruin and CrunchyLebVol, which just makes everything harder.

Ultimately, it's a free place to say whatever you want. Sorry if I contributed to the insanity. :hi:

I don't know how I'm not supposed to be perceived as repetitive when 5 or 6 people are talking to me about the same thing. Guess I could just respond to one of them?

This team is playing hard for Butch. An announcement might ruin that. Currie knows getting to a bowl is important.

Was just talking with someone at work who’s brother is at UT and has friends on the football team. Nothing earth shattering but she said she’s heard the locker room culture right now is abysmal and the team is completely divided, with fights happening regularly. It was interesting that she said it deteriorated during this season and that this is the first time it has been like this under Butch. She said it’s miserablefor the players now.

I wonder how much of that plays into recruits minds if they are hearing whispers of it.

I was told this a month ago and that the attitude amongst the assistant coaches isn't any better.

I feel for you on that part and side with you but your problem is you have done this everyday for a month. Your childish bs is the same thing everyday all day. I understand everyOne coming at you because it happens to me all the time but stop saying the same thing everyday for a month. At least be intelligent enough to change the things you say.

Bass do you remember the board getting pissed at me for talking about DT depth for like a day?

You are on day 87.

No. but this board gets mad at anyone who doesn't pump rainbows out all day long. I learned that very quickly the first time I mentioned a concern about DE depth. Keep the faith.

I wouldn't be on day 87 though had Currie done something. We wouldn't be having this conversation right now. We would be excited about Grumors.

It is upsetting that we lost Cade. It is frustrating that Butch is still here, and we can only hope that insiders are right about Gruden.

When someone said this is a rollercoaster, they weren't kidding. Seems worse than 2012, because when Grudenmania started in earnest, Dooley was gone.
