May not be a bad thing if Grude comes, typically new hires need to or are told to honor previous commits.....Grude may not want some of them...now if the unthinkable happens then we may be in deep ****

The lack of action to fire Butch should be an obvious sign that something is going on behind the scenes. Mays decommitting is another 3 ft of rope Currie is releasing to let Butch hang himself.

How do you figure it's an "obvious" sign that stuff is going on behind the scenes?

If anything it's the opposite, it would appear that Currie is doing nothing but sitting on his hands.

I'm pretty sure he is a EE. Don't want to be all negative but my feelings are IF he officially decomitted then we won't get him back. He's seen something he likes more somewhere else. He was at UGA this past weekend. I pray he doesn't go there.

Somewhat of a repost, but recruits have no idea either what's going on here.

I go back an forth on how critical it might be, in terms of stating Butch is not coming back, or don't say anything till end of season. Just want to get the right coach going forward.

Butch should have been fired immediately after the Vandy game last year. Any good Jones has done is long gone, the UTAD is just letting her burn down again.

I agree everything seems to be there for Gruden to come to Tennessee, I just dont think he has the drive to want to work 7/365. Money is not a issue at this point with him. Coaches get paid large salaries for a reason and it aint to sit on their butt. Its a lot of hard work and I believe he has had it easy at ESPN MNF.

That's where I think your reasoning is flawed.

The man is driven and doesn't have an off button.

He gets up at 4 am everyday to study film.

The 'Florida is why you don't want an interim' argument doesn't fly with me at all.

An interim is going to do no worse than BJ. Impossible. Oh well, I am going back down. I swear it will not surprise me in the least to see them trot him out again next year.

UT doesn't get it and I am not sure they ever will.
