McBride was necessary since it appeared JG was in pain. The one I hated was putting Berry in at this late in the season--now, instead of medical Redshirt, he's done. I would have loved to see what Gruden could have done with him.

He can still red shirt. But coached don't like Butch as we are starting to see. He will be black balled imo...

Ainge is taking bets that Gruden will never be the head coach at UT. Says he is just trolling our entire fanbase.

At least we've moved from "no chance" to all of this.

Per Beaver, who we are all hanging on as the truthsayer in this process, Gruden already agreed, and we just had to get everyone else on board.

So, if you believe that (which I do), then his bit from TOS sounds like more like a controlled narrative change than what actually happened.

I mean, either case is fine, since the end result is Gruden to the Hill, but just putting that out there.

I'm on the Beaver train and have been. I believe what he's saying. I just try and bring you guys the stuff the post over there. In the end Gruden to the Hill!

The thing that's worrisome to be is that if Gruden has to be courted and convinced to take the job, doe he really want it? I would think if he was "all in" then all these seemingly small potatoes type things wouldn't matter if he really wanted to be coach at UT. If we land him, I hope he heart is truly in it and it isn't just about money, control, etc...

Saban did the same thing. I can't really say if Saban is happy about, he seems perpetually miserable, but he's doing what most would call a fairly good job regardless.

I'll try to keep up the best I can. Busy today but I'll check in and help deliver some GTFO's to the trolls when needed.

Gruden to the Hill!

Soon!

Thank you for your service, sir. We need all the help we can get on nights kicking out the non-believers.

Ainge said he'd entertain cash bets from confirmed people that Gruden WILL NOT coach at the University of Tennessee.

I would be interested in the same myself.

Wonder how we could do this? No $20 either, if your so sure, lets put some good money on this.

And I'm like Eric I would love to see Gruden come to Tennessee, just pretty convinced its not happening.

I want to hear people's honest predictions on our recruiting class rankings if Gruden is announced before the early signing period..

Imo top 3 would be a no brainer

I honestly dont think it would really make that much difference. I mean he hasnt coached in lik.........

SIKE!

SOON!!!!!!!!

This makes me think that broad terms have been indeed been reviewed.. due diligence.. Academic..Budgets... org control and protocols (ie compliance meeting been completed) and now we are looking at getting married and may have already eloped in Vegas. The one interesting part where all the leaks would come from has not happened......The staff conversations. Have a feeling we might see a bombshell this week. Nothing final because CBJ still here but Wow..I think he is really coming bombshell

I just wonder how long they can continue to try to keep it under wraps. A bombshell this big has to explode you would think.

Lol... I just heard that too. He's finally thrown up his hands and commented. He's in about the same place I am.

Erik Ainge is absolutely bashing any possibility of Gruden coming to TN on his show right now. He said he knows personal friends oh Gruden who told him last night there is ZERO chance he coaches college. TIFWIW

We know that's a lie because i can't see anyone being friends with Ainge.

If Gruden was 100% not coming, then he would say so. To say nothing and then not come would make tn people hate him. After all this, if it comes out that he was never in play, and he let us believe... I'd hate him.

I don't believe that is legal especially if setup on the public airways. But what do I know, it just sounds wrong.

Ainge's* stance is dumb though. Ainge is saying Gruden coaching UT is ludicrous and would NEVER do it. But the bet is black and white. He either does or doesn't. Even if he doesn't, it doesn't mean Ainge is correct in Gruden "trolling" the fan base. He might just decide after it's all said and done he doesn't want to coach Tennessee football. That doesn't mean he isn't fully considering it as Ainge is implying.

I can't see Gruden doing any job and not putting 110% into it. He is not the type to do that

The same fanbase of the team that gave him his start in coaching? The same fanbase that his wife was a cheerleader for? The same fanbase that his own son is a part of?????

Makes complete sense Ainge! Hope your "mutual friends" don't pass that info over to JG. Because you're making him sound like a total douche canoe!

Ainge is saying he will NEVER come to UT to coach the Vols.

Ainge could potentially get very butthurt when all of this is over.

he may have to go to Butch's next job home town to broadcast

I know he has a mancrush on butchy boy still... but if I were him I would be careful taking too much of a stance not knowing what could play out
