Sumlin is done, Malzahn barring a miracle beating Ga and Bama is done. Bielema is done.

Gus to Arkansas, Sumlin/Mullen to TN, Bielema to the buffet.

Mullen will stay in Starkville. If he averages 8 wins a year, they'll build a statue of him. $4.6 M and low expectations. They'll never fire him and his family probably loves living out there. He's set. Don't think he has aspirations of taking on that next level of expectations.

Fleck would be perceived as a bad hire because he's a big cliche guy, just like Butch. Wouldn't be given a chance.

Coaches may coach for different reasons, some - gulp! - may like the competition.

Wasnt he recently complaining about Washington almost always having late night televised games?

Yes he's complaining about no one getting a chance to watch them on east coast cause of late night games. I think he's worried about the voters opinions cause they don't get seen as much.

He's also complained about the lack of passion for football there in Washington. I've read before that his relationship with AD is shaky.

His buyout if I read correctly is only 1.5 mil and that was an article back in April after he received his extension.

We need to get this name circulating I think.he could be interested and if we make a real effort to talk to him I believe it's very realistic.

I hope this is a guy Swain heard about

Hope like hell its Peterson or Patterson, but since UT is such an attractive job nowadays according to some on here, I wouldnt be suprised if Saban wanted to come here.

Of course many on Volnation would consider hiring Saban a failure since we didnt get Gruden

I hope Currie contacts him as well. Some will say he wont leave but you never know until you try.

Unfortunately I don't trust our administration and boosters to do so. But I'm telling you my gut is telling me he wants out, but he's only gonna leave for a big time job.

Say what you will.about the current state of our program but we are still a top 10-15 job at worst. With our history, tradition, fan base, resources, etc. We can be a power again easily with the right coach. But to get the right coach you must push all the chips in and stop playing conservative.

If I'm correct in my research about his buyout being 1.5mil that makes things interesting. And in reality when you have a sure fire winner. Money shouldn't matter cause Neyland would be rocking again and money would be flying in.!

According to Swain two coaches from the power 5 (not on the Vegas odds list) have called about the head coaching job. If we don't land the white whale Gruden, who would you want as the next head coach that's not on the list?
Jon Gruden **+150
Chip Kelly **+450
Jeff Brohm **+600
Bobby Petrino **+600
Mike Norvell **+800
PJ Fleck **+1000
Bob Stoops **+1200
Tee Martin **+1200
Les Miles **+1400
Jim Bob Cooter **+2200
Dan Mullen **+2200
Brian Kelly **+3300
Lane Kiffin **+3300
Peyton Manning **+10000

You can go ahead and move Chip Kelly up to +200...
If Gruden says no..
Kelly will say yes.

Go Vols

Idk how many of you listen to Basilio. But one thing i liked that they did today. They listed their top five big boy hires. And to me it wasn't pipe dream stuff. It's realistic but maybe not likely. But possible enough those 5 should be contacted with serious interest.

The handful of people I heard had same or similar 5 in different orders. So here's my five.

1) Chris Petersen
2) James Franklin
3) Jon Gruden
4) Gary Patterson
5) Dan Mullen

We are going after a bigger fish than Mullen. There is one that wants to be considered that many will find surprising. (Don’t ask the source)

Good to hear. Once again I hope it's Petersen just cause I continue to hear he's not happy at UW. He would do amazing here. But several other great coaches that I believe could have interest.

13 Peyton Manning **+10000

Added the numbers. This is my order.
Only reason Manning is so low is that he's NFL executive bound...
