my bad ... thank you for correcting me, was trying to do multiple things ... he's on record saying he's gearing up for a return to coaching.

that being said, you're saying what i thought you were saying, and he did not say he would not coach college in that quote you're referring to.

but, alas, it's all speculation.
it is what it is.

Butch is essentially just an interim, and I really think he has to know this. So why wait?

Gruden is 100% committed to the ethics and professionalism of anything to do with coaching. He started something called FFCA (Fired Football Coaches Assn) FFCA – Giving Back to The Game We All Love: Football

Waiting for CBJ to finish the year would be IMO, Gruden showing respect and being classy about the change of coaches at UT.

I was in my car when he made that statement and I wondered exactly the same.... I think he said iirc they are doing well where they presently are ... that also caught my attention....

Its gotta look like all hope is gone, so that Currie and his AD minions can say they saved the deal at the last second.

All the people talking about googlecoaches are the same ones saying Butch will be back next year. Make up your minds.

Not to go all biblical...but a weak and faithless generation is here for sure....where is your hope? Intestinal fortitude?

What a time to be alive, when there is no black or white only gray area. When if it isnt instant it isnt true. Success and building for the future doesnt happen overnight.

Most of you pass over my posts as just more message board chatter, because Im not an "insider", but I am OG, and Ive committed to hope for the best, because there is absolutely nothing to the rest. Make a commitment and stick to it. If Im wrong in my placement of hope then so be it, you wont have to worry about me anymore, because Saturdays will be spent doing more important things than being spoonfed "legions of the miserable" garbage.

But Ill hold out for hope.

When you compare the list of “sitting power 5 coach” with the current top 25, and then add 8/10...really narrows that list.
