No lie, a poster just compared Saban to Butch, said they were cut from the same cloth......I wanted to call in a tactical nuke, pop smoke and do a hot LZ Evac!

Yeah, saban's fifth year at Bama closely resembles our stellar showing this year.

I was kinda waiting on the newest Gruden thread to post a novel that this will be, so here goes...

Concerning info from the AD. I am not surprised in the least on the clamp down of information that has been leaked or will be leaked concerning Jones, Gruden and all things in between. As an example:

When Bob Stoops retired this year, the vast majority of the AD had no idea until about 5-6 hours out from the announcement. Now, that did not mean Big Game Bob walked into Joe C's office early that morning and said "hey boss, I'm retiring and I want Lincoln Riley as my replacement." I know for a fact it took a great many by surprise that would have/should have known in advance. But again, six hour notice for things to get rolling and not even a peep out of the media prior to that point. And I'm talking those that should have known either didn't know or kept their mouth shut about it.

So, the lack of information doesn't necessarily mean the wheels are not turning. It just could be extremely compartmentalized and the few that know just aren't going to talk. I'd dare say the only four individuals we could be absolutely positive about this would be:

Currie
Reid Sigmon
Peyton
Fulmer

Food for thought.

You may be right; however I suspect the circle of knowledge includes a couple more people, not counting the lawyers.......

This has probably already mentioned and discussed... I have missed to much of this thread and last to even attempt a search or try to catch up with previous posts so:

A caller called Swain this morning and asked... if Gruden is a 10 how would you rate the other two names on the list and Swain answered 8 .... so what are the boards thoughts and exactly what did Swain say to cause this question to be brought up? I am sorry id it has already been discussed
