Preacher, I answered you in the prior thread and will here as well. The last words out of Gruden's mouth about college were that he wouldn't coach there. You can take it as joking or not but it's what he last said.

This is his last statement about coaching at all, from a couple of months ago back in August.

Former NFL head coach and ESPN broadcaster Jon Gruden reiterated on Wednesday that he doesn't intend to plan on coaching, despite saying last week he prepares as though he might coach again.

"I don't foresee myself coaching anytime soon," Gruden told Jenna Laine of ESPN.com. "But I do like getting as close to the fire as possible."

I need an update. It is assessment writing season and I am knee deep. Are we getting Gruden or nah?

Still completely sure this is 100 percent in Gruden's court at this point. He either says or has already said yes or no. I don't think it's a screwed up power battle like conspiracy theorists are throwing out there. Gruden is very much on record recently saying no to coaching college. I believe UT has thrown large dollar offers to try and sway him from that. At the end of the day, he and Cindy will make the call. But one thing is for sure, if it hasn't already been decided, it needs to be very soon. Gotta have time to hire someone and salvage recruiting. At what point does the AD cut bait? Tough call.

has that been verified? has he really said that?
i've never seen it.

i've saw where he joked he'd have a college on probation in a few weeks or something, but not a definite no to college.

can you provide a link to an interview or something to this record?

EDIT: i saw where you posted at the end of the last thread. but what did he saw about college?

that's the point. he's on record recently saying he is gearing up for a return to college. last week on mnf said he missed coaching.

i want to know what he said about college.

not being argumentative ...
