McBride

Guarantano won’t finish THIS game. Almost blew something kneeling down. How many humanitarian of the year awards do we net by shoving a kid with one leg out every snap against LSU? McBride isn’t losing a redshirt, he can utilize it in any of the next 3 years.

Lord, you guys are drama queens.

I am pretty certain Butch is gone at this point. I am sure I want him gone, too.

But when Sheriron Jones left, McBride became #3. When Dormady got hurt, McBride became #2. Guarantano practically crumpled on that QB kneel to end the half. I guarantee we haven't seen the last of McBride this season. He's the next man up.

With our O-line you can about guarantee it. So it's time to move on about the redshirt.

If Butch had done it if we were 8-0 right now, not one of you would be crying over it.

His redshirt was ALREDAY BURNED, He is your number 2 QB. He was ready to play. All that was left was the formality. Stop listening to ESPN.

What the hell you talking about? He had not burned his red shirt until that da move by botch. We could have run the wildcat, or brought in the hire guy. Trust you haven't heard the last of this stupid move.

McBride is the #2 QB. The #1 QB went down. Whats the problem here?

You miss 3 plays limited time and you burn a redshirt that’s what the problem is.. you have wildcat Kelly and chandler before what was the problem doing that or calling a timeout and finding out how long JG is gonna fell like he gonna be out.. period..

One possession game and you have no clue how long he will be out when he goes down. CBJ did the right thing

Except when he goes down, you don't immediately know it's just going to be 2-3 plays. You can't predict that nor can the training staff. They have to evaluate him first. That isn't an instant process

Fun fact- Butch has been asked this like crazy for past two weeks. He should have had an easy plan in place. The minute JG goes down, you pull wildcat for 2-3 plays while running out the play clock before snapping the ball. That gives you about 2 in game minutes on top of the original play stoppage to get an idea if he’s done for game or if he’s coming back. So easy to do.

It’s not rocket science folks.

How do you know wherever he'll be in the tent 2 minutes or 30 minutes?

You don't, but you also have 3 timeouts.....which were taken into the half....and lost.

You could slow down just a minute, take a timeout and assess the situation. JG got taped up.....pretty much it.

Sure WM may be playing the second half...not sure yet; however the timing was not the best to take off the RS......considering there were options.

I think Butch had already made up his mind, just like he said in the presser.

I don't trust this offense to run its regular schemes much less any wildcat. Our luck they do something really bad and turn the ball over. If the kids any good we'd be lucky to have him stay for four years.

Isn't that last sentence the point? This season is toast, we are not 8-0 and these last three games don't mean a damn thing.

You don't know it's only going to be 2-3 plays. And it's a one possession game that you can't afford to lose. You don't take the chance of losing a drive. You put in whoever gives you the best chance to score.

McBride looked cool, calm and collected and throws a beautiful ball....they dont want a qb controversy...the guy has an arm and looked accurate

Unbelievable! Butch should have to answer for this...but I guess he will know more when he sees the film.

Based in the hits JG has taken, I don’t expect this will be the last we see of McBride

Maybe he can get that redshirt next year.

Y’all need to chill out. This is football. Learn the game.

This is to funny. You are literally contradicting football 101. And then telling everyone to learn football.

Once again, in the time it took the 2-3 plays with McBride, there is more than enough time get a prognosis from the medical staff. Could have easily ran wildcat while running playclock down.

But hey, keep defending Butch.

I do not understand what the big deal is both QD and JG are back next year. It is not like McBride cannot redshirt next year and we have a QB commited who is probably better than him.

And i am not defending Butch I thought he should have been fired last year but in this case i think he made the right decision.
