Official Jon Gruden Thread XXVII

This whole work thing is really getting in the way of my coaching search obsession.

And to respond to what Swain was saying on his show and someone on here saying that coaching searches are good for ratings it us true. Living in SC here I have listened to more Knoxville radio in the past two weeks than I have in the previous two years combined.

I am still holding on to the belief that if Gruden has in treat then we will get the deal done.

Hopefully Soon...

Ha! My husband is from Alaska and is still pretty new to this whole SEC football thing. He said to me this morning “Aren’t you getting a little obsessed with this whole coaching thing?”.

Of course I said NO lol.

We just moved back to the south from the Florida Keys. I’m just thrilled to be back in SEC land :dance2:

I don't think Haslam knew all of the details until last night...
I feel like that's when the power shift took place. JMO

That's what I came to recognize yesterday afternoon. I think Haslam participated and was a duck in a row until sunday-ish. I think he knew most of it, but I think MIT and bubba and likely others were an insurance policy should he reverse course again. I don't at all think he knew about that.

I have to figure our how to support someone besides Gruden. If Gruden is not next coach I don't want to hate the next coach like I did for 5 years with Butch.

It never ceases to make me chuckle to see so many people clutching their collective pearls when they go a few hours without having someone post what they want to hear. It's as if this whole thing is entirely dependent on what three anonymous internet posters tell you, and if they don't say something, then ITS NOT HAPPENINGOMGOMGOMG.

😂

I basically said the same thing the other day and got blasted by some holier than thou asshat.

Noone has any intestinal fortitude anymore, and wants to be spoonfed 24/7

Grude morning all. After going to sleep last night with a bit of a pessimistic outlook, it appears the coaster is climbing up the tracks again.

Still don't know what I am going to do with my life when this whole thing is over. We really should keep the Gruden threads going!

Maybe hiring Gruden, will give us a reason to continue this thread

I find it amazing, the amount of hate spewed online towards people, based on unsubstantiated rumor from anonymous internet posters. Just... Wow.

Boycott Haslam's businesses because someone named Beaver infers that he's not on board with our desired hire? No direct evidence... Nothing to substantiate. Just call for real world backlash to what very well may internet lies and trolling.

Hate Currie. Fire UT's new Ad. Why? Because someone you don't kow made an unsubstantiated claim? Because he's slower to move on something than you'd prefer, even though he knows much more about the particulars that you do?

The collective irrationality is stunning! These threads should be used to study human herd mentality.

I know what it's like to sit in the stands and watch your kid compete. I never take my eyes off of him. If that had been my kid stumbling around, lining up wrong, and holding the sides of his helmet, it would have taken Trooper Squarejaw and several of his buddies to keep me from coming at Butch Jones like a spider-monkey on the sideline.

I do the same thing when my son is playing. I wouldn't miss a injury.

It's easy to overcome for me...they have to make a Gruden sized effort for me to ever care again. Doesn't have to be him, though that's my obvious choice, but it better be a big money homerun swing. I want to see a commitment to reaching a championship level, before I commit again.

Vinegar should never come near BBQ. And can TX stop referring to sausage and brisket as BBQ. That's all. Thanks.

I don’t need to be spoon fed but I certainly wouldn’t mind a cabana boy and a nice frozen rum drink while I peruse the Gruden thread lol.
