We have everything...except an elite product to match our world class props....Mediocrity will not allow their glorious plan to come to fruition and reward all the right people .. you have to command attention with a lot of winning and buzz to support a multi billion dollar land development that happened to be a grant .. that will also be appropriate feeding troth to the selected

I would too. Not sure about the HCIW though.

Gruden and Monte Kiffin coached together i believe at Tampa Bay. Lane has been entrenched at the college level for awhile and knows what works, recruiting, motivating 18 year olds, etc. It isn’t a total stretch Gruden would match well with Lane and I’m sure Lane would jump at the chance to coach with him. It makes sense and would work IMO. Just need everybody to get over the butthurt with Lane which is, admittedly, strong and justified.

So Charles Ergen money and other funds is no good? Is deal no good? Can’t Ergen fight for Gruden? Did he quit on negotiations? That only reason Jim Haslam is there because money. That’s all Tennessee cares about is money from Haslam and careless about football success.

my theory (I know nothing), Currie and Boosters A, B, etc. held off firing/hiring announcement due to stadium renovation plans. The hiring was contingent on funding being made available for renovations. Is that based on any intelligent information? No, but it sounds plausible at least. Also, think of how odd it would be to drop big $$$ on a stadium if we have a dumpster fire of a program and no splash hire in the works :/
