Valid point. The one thing that gets me is Bubba’s join date being 10 yrs ago. Then just out of the blue....he starts posting. Albeit in the same time frame as Beav.

Geeez, I need to give this a rest.

To quote the famous The Comb:

Gruden to the Hill!

Would it be far fetched to think PM has never in his life logged on to VN?

Shirley there's a possibility Bubba could be PM.

I believe....... And if give up ____hub.com to get Gruden.

His account is locked and he has 200 followers. Doesn't really have much power.

everyone who is underestimating just how smart this guy is and apparently does not have a clue how to use Twitter and maximize its leverage is ASSUMING HE ONLY HAS ONE ACCOUNT !

fred sanford would call em "BIG DUMMIES" .

Haslam approved of Butch, and unless there's a hell of a power shift, Haslam will make the next hire too. He does want the best for UT, but he believes only he is qualified to determine what is best. On the plus side, even he is ready for Butch to be gone after the season. On the negative, he'll give us Coach Google.

I'm hoping what I've heard from my AD source and a couple of players is wrong, but for a few weeks they have consistently said Gruden is a "pipe dream." The definitive way they answer though leaves me some room to hope it's a false narrative. But, my money is against Gruden while my heart dreams.

Don't call me Shirley!

This board needs to understand, Beav is not here by accident. Every single post, down the letter, has a purpose. The timing of each post has been methodically calculated to corroborate or negate what is needed at that point in time. Has there been disinformation? Not that I can tell, other than subtle nuances one may try to spin. His presence is a message to the Vol faithful, but more importantly, a message to the UTAD and Haslam that the shtick stops here. In other words, they (Ergen) have stepped on the necessary throats and have spoken loud and clear. The most telling part about this is the fact that Ergen can provide assistance through VC to the AA. Getting Gruden is the icing on the cake (a la win-win-win). Without the AA, athletics would be a moot point to begin with. The man has this figured out and all I can say is: SOON!

then what or who is the holdup?
not hammering you, just asking the board.

I don't even know if there is one. I haven't heard anything but reading through this for the last weeks in MY opinion some of these stories are starting to fall apart.

Personally, I think we are in good shape. I have met Currie twice and I believe he wants the best for Tennessee. I think he's going to do everything he can to hire us the best coach. I'll believe that until I'm proven wrong.

In regards to Haslam, multiple people have confirmed he has been shown Bill's house at least twice in an attempt to lure him to Tennessee. Haynesworth (who wants Gruden badly) is very happy with Haslam lately. He even put Haslam in his Twitter bio. Haslam wanted Gruden in 2012.

None of this lines up with him suddenly trying to detail the hire because of "control" when in reality he wouldn't lose any of the control that he has if Gruden was hired.

Just my thoughts.

I don't think they (haslam, currie, ad) believe or care or understand, that, if they trot out Coach Googlemyname from Youcantgettherfromhere University, they're going to alienate a (how should i say) large or significant portion of the fanbase, beyond being able to win them back.

I for one, am tired of having my intelligence insulted by the coaching hires and ensuing debacles from the past decade. Tired of it.
