I lost your earlier post. What do you want me to find?

My uncle said he read/heard Spurrier comment on calling Stoops about coming to FL and him not returning his call. Can't remember who posted, but they mentioned that whoever Atlanta Vol called would be someone that FL was very interested in?

Have you talked to any boosters recently that would gladly pay $50k to prevent you from hiring another bum coach? @John_Currie

Hart. He was pissed the boosters were doing his job for him. Then Cheek, who didn’t like the idea of hiring Gruden, conducted an embarrassing coaching search. Since he obviously wasn’t going to have booster support for hiring Botch, he needed the academic side to fund it. Cheek turned over 18 million dollars and Botch got 6 year, 3 million dollar/per year deal.

Allegedly.

Someone with money had to help from the outside.

Spurrier was on the radio and indicated he spoke with "Bobby".

Sounds like a 3 year old who didn't get candy, now the mother is dragging him down the aisle of the grocery store while he is throwing a fit.

Very reminiscent of 2012. If Haslam wins and we hire another shyte coach I'm done with all things UT. They can kiss my a$$. No more donations and no more season tickets till that family gets out of the way.

Time to start the boycott Pilot Flying J.

Indeed my friend it sure does.... History repeating itself :cray:

I have to be honest... and I want to believe, but I think MIT is full of ish.

Just have to say, would a multimillionaire with so much influence really give a **** about message boarding and twittering? Seems like it’s sophmoric.

Millionaires/billionaires use twitter and other means of reaching the public and their base. What's your point?

But I am not sure it is the best negotiating tactic. But we will see.

I agree but i'm sure it drawing a lot of attention and putting it on Currie. In the beginning he said something about making Currie mad or upsetting him i believe.

The powers that be meeting isn't until tonight.

Based on that fact and the fact that Beaver is twitting what he is now says to me that the meeting tonight is the last meeting to settle this power struggle once and for all.

Almost like a loser leave town grudge match.

It appears to me that the Beaver is applying final pressure before this meeting.

So you are quoting stuff from this "Beaver"guy's private invitation only twitter account?

Or did he make it public?

Possible nugget: Atlanta Vol & Beav both went inactive within min of each other and haven’t been back on. I’ve been monitoring their activity for days. One or the other is usually active around this time of day. Now both silent.

This, this, this. MIT is obviously a very smart guy. If the deal was only partially done and still awaiting outside approval, he would have clarified that. In his original post he said "The deal is done. We'll be celebrating with scotch soon". No ambiguity, no amplifying information. THAT CAN ONLY MEAN 1 THING.

Exactly

A couple of people are picking up on it here, but still getting somewhat buried, the Stadium Reno approval is big, IMO.

If you have committed to that kind of investment, you’re not going to roll out some google the name coach next year.

And the timing is starting to make a lot more sense, if they have committed to $340 million or whatever it is, Currie and other have a lot more leverage to get buyout done, and go get a big name.

Don’t get caught up in th booster infighting, follow the money.

Gruden to The Hill.

SOON!

We have arguably the most dysfunctional AD in the country. If we hire another mid major nobody, I won't spend a dime on Tenn.

I'm sick of it, and I'm sure most of the fan base is as well.

With this stadium renovation, which is a huge deal, I don’t see how UT can afford to put a lousy product on the field. 30% of UTAD revenues come from football. Think about that, 6/7 games a year, contributing to every facet of the university. They’ve got to get this right.

Most of their money comes from diesel sales. Thus the rebate fraud.
