Official Jon Gruden Thread XXVI

So the way i see it (if I’m reading what’s going on correctly) Haslam wins this round but it’s only one battle. The next phase is the Ergen camp applying the pressure to Bev by pulling funding/the VC money for the Academic side to get her to tell Currie to pound sand. Leverage and pressure. Even if Haslam won today it’s not over.

The powers that be meeting isn't until tonight.

Based on that fact and the fact that Beaver is twitting what he is now says to me that the meeting tonight is the last meeting to settle this power struggle once and for all.

Almost like a loser leave town grudge match.

It appears to me that the Beaver is applying final pressure before this meeting.

If you are referring to the meeting that Atlanta Vol mentioned, he didn't give a timeline. Not sure why everyone thinks it is tonight or something.

I love the Gruden threads. I love the speculation. That being said, if you think someone with access is using a fake twitter account with a beaver photo to apply pressure then you need to take a few days away from the thread.

Seem confirmation that this is a showdown between Haslam (the old guard) and Ergen and his 85% coalition ... That battle was fought once in 2012 and Haslam won out...

Then Atlanta Vol posted that the AD had contacted a coach (Not Gruden) to see if he had interest in Tennessee
(would not name him)...

These two things together made me lower my percentage to 40% chance we land Gruden

Very reminiscent of 2012. If Haslam wins and we hire another shyte coach I'm done with all things UT. They can kiss my a$$. No more donations and no more season tickets till that family gets out of the way.

Time to start the boycott Pilot Flying J.

What if...

The pro-Gruden camp has made it seem like they are all-in for supporting stadium construction. Get Currie to commit, press release, meeting minutes, etc.

And at the other meeting they inform him they are out unless JG is hired?

So Haslams have to cover it all or concede?

I like it

Beav is talking about spending 50k on adds to push the fanbase over the edge. He is crazy as he**....I like him

So I have been away for about 24 hours, anything new and groundbreaking? I mean besides I gather there is some kind of Last Lap back alley brawl between the television production industry and truckers/convenient stores.

I honestly would not have know how to do that. Anyway all I intended was to line up information from two different sources. I guess you or anyone else can think I made it up if you would like. I have always said I don’t know who the coach will be this next go round. I truly don’t think anyone is off the table but I don’t know who we get. I just share information I think is relevant to this board. As I said I figured I would get crucified for posting a screenshot but that is fine. I’ll continue to let those here know what can and each of you can decide if you want to believe it or not

You made it plain that you typed it out. Some people would complain that the free spaghetti dinner was too spicy

If Beavers tweets are meant to influence the outcome, then why wouldnt his account be public? He only has about 250 followers and those are hand selected.

After the tax we got shoved up our hind end, you should already be.

I'm with that one ^^^

(lol)
Make them Haslam's feel in control... and yank the sheets out from under them, with the presser of Gruden.

What they going to do, then????

Big J would say he was in... all the time

:eek:lol:

didn't you hear? we hired Dino Babers.

Beaver tweeted something about "will they balance the blown up ad budget" so the 85% side had maybe offered to balance the budget?

I'm basing the meeting is tonight off of TOS that said the meeting was tonight.

Yes I read AV's post and he did not say a timeline but TOS did and I couldn't imagine that they were talking about separate meetings.
