I may be just a causal fan and stop donating if Haslam screws us over again. He has no common sense at all example look at Tennessee last 10 years and Browns... they both suck because of his decisions.

I don't see that it does. He even admits it could be disinformation....we've been told that would happen.

We don't know any more or less than we did....so why the meltdown?

Oh, not melting down. Just casually observing what all has been mentioned in the last 160+k posts and combining that with AV's last post. Just seems to go against that, unless it's misdirection.

I will say I am beginning to become a little fatigued from following this for the last month......and my work has definitely suffered. lol

Just like everyone else(except for the 41% morons down in Chattanooga) , I am simply ready for Butch to be gone and to have a new coach.

Atlanta said if he found out Gruden was the coach 100% he wouldn’t come back and share it because it wasn’t his place. His absence/presence is not indicative of Gruden being coach or not.

This

And other names getting floated out there does not mean the Gruden deal is dead, or even that its a smokescreen. It's just due diligence in case Gruden falls thru.

Only thing Gruden has said is that he will never coach college.

I’m talking about behind closed doors.

Say UT approached Gruden and he agreed in principle to be the next coach, but Haslam came along and tried to torpedo the deal so that Gruden would coach Cleveland.

In that situation Gruden has the power. He could easily let Haslam know it’s UT or nothing, or if he wanted to take it a step further he could say “if you stand in the way of me coachING UT, not only will I not coach Cleveland but I will go to another NFL team, and let everyone in Tennessee know that you are the reason I’m not their coach.”

If they screw this up then they need to remove entire upper deck from Neyland Stadium to cut capacity in half. I will not attend any games and I'm sure everyone on here will not either if they hired a PJ Fleck or some other crap. Enough is enough.

He changed his mind based off of what exactly?? He may have changed his mind on paying for the buyout but I doubt he had epiphany on Jones somehow suddenly becoming the answer to UT's struggles considering Jones created them.

He got cold feet at the last minute. He's gone but he keeps stringing it on.

Behind 8 pages while getting to my deer stand. Dang it! At least I can read in peace without getting the death stare from the wife.

GBO!

I know and I agree. I just couldn’t and still can’t wrap my head around why Haslam would care so much about a coaching hire/power that if he isn’t brokering the deal (even if it’s the best deal) he would rather sabotage it and make a lesser one.

Which brings us back around to the ego portion of my original comments.
