No point in guessing who the coach is. Gruden is probably the ultimate get - other than Harbaugh - so literally just about anybody could be a smokescreen for him.

Doubt AV will confirm it either, cause then he risks himself and/or his source.

Unfortunately, I’m starting to agree with you. I’ll continue to believe until the Beaver shuts it down.

Troll or not, he’s all we’ve got left.

I can assure myself if no one else that AV is not saying Gruden is coming nor is he saying he's not. He said a lot and lot he didn't say but there is lot there for the taking :)

After Beaver confirming who is behind him, and believing this is the same group that tried to come against Haslam in 2012 and were beaten by him.... and after totally understanding that Currie IS Haslam's man and was put in that position for this purpose (and believing he will not want to go against his boss but will want to be loyal) and then reading Atlanta Vols post... I have decided to lower my expectation of this so called 85% group having the ability to win... With all this in mind ... My Grud-a-meter is officially lowered to 40%

How? Anyone could come on here and say “Currie reached out to X,” and they would have a pretty good chance at getting it right.

Their has been hesitation internally to let butch go early due to the reputation that UT has gotten in that regard externally to the coaching community...however I think the hand may get forced on this one. I was delivered either an incredible smokescreen yesterday or something that tells me there is trouble in paradise on the gruden front (lets say it went along the lines of currie reached out to xyz coach to gauge interest what are your thoughts... I won't name the coach as I don't want to throw gas on that log) . I can't tell which yet but I have been on the phone all morning with one of the larger boosters (in ktown) discussing our wonderful browns owner who literally could screw up anything he gets involved in so that tells me all I need to know on that front. Now take all of that and couple it with the next important piece of info.

I was then informed early today of a meeting that will take place that I am supposed to attend (can't give timeline out) that will be about a very large donation opportunity for some folks in attendance. Now I can't imagine in my right mind that they would approach anyone about a meeting like that unless there was something extremely positive was going to happen.

I think the band is about the start playing...the biggest question will be is it who we want playing or not.

I find their enjoyment of taking a daily upper-decker in the thread sad, yet somewhat entertaining. It's interesting how they can't stay away.

Can someone here please explain to me what he has said that has made him the unquestionable source?

I feel like Currie getting the job was the straw that broke the camel's back.
Apparently enough boosters were pissed that they swapped sides after this.

yes after the way it went down in 2012 and then again over the Blackburn deal i think they got together and made sure that there would be no way they were going to be shot down so to speak by Haslam.....
