Many have said he likes the attention. Maybe. But I don’t know. Seems like anybody would say something by now if there was no interest in coming to Tennessee — if only to just shut down speculation.

Gruden has an agent that's loving this...so NO
If you are an outsider looking in at the dysfunction that has become UT athletics what would you think? We know (sorta) what's going on ...a booster that has a pro franchise and has his thumb in the UT pie and isn't it strange how they mirror each other these days
And they both suck
And who really knows WTF is going on in the ADs side of things? We do know he was put there and is controlled by someone, I am not sure who. Too many +s to not hire Gruden
Until the control freak big ego folks are ready to hand Gruden the same power SABEN has, back off and cut him loose, we are going to keep getting more of this same s**t til it becomes unsalvagable.
I can't believe the 2012 debacle didn't teach these highly "intelligent"
powers that be something but until they give me something to show they are on the same page as us I'm afraid we are gonna get kicked in the gut again and this time there will be no digging out. OK I'll gtfo

I actually had not heard this. I'd say most here had but first I've heard it. Which is interesting bc a couple weeks ago someone actually brought this up as a possibility. They said that If there was an impass bewteen the many sides of the Gruden deal that Peyton could step in and offer a treaty so to speak. Offer money to the academic side and his services to the Cleveland front office to appease Mr. Haslam.

I come and go but this thread has been great, I have become a regular for the last couple of weeks.
