I have been sitting by and watching all kinds of stories about Tara’s behavior at the Florida game over the last year. I would like to dispel a couple of rumors - because that’s what they are. Tara and Arthur and Tara’s parents had season tickets in the row and seats directly in front of ours. So here goes... the game had just started and the stands were packed. A trio of folks (2 men and 1 woman) came down our row (dressed in TN gear). The guy in the lead - mid 40s is my guess - was just mouthing off at how stupid the stadium seating was - he thought because he had seat 1, he had an aisle seat. Not so in our section. He had yet to get to us (we have 4 seats) and Tara was sitting directly in front of me with Arthur to her right and her parents to her left - her dad had been in poor health but his grandson was playing. I digress... the dude was loud and trash talking the stadium. He had just reached my son who was sitting behind Tara’s dad when Tara turned around to explain to him that the stadium was old and the seats had been reconfigured... he told her to shut up and turn around and then - it seemed on purpose - kneed her dad in the back - hard. Tara was furious and yes she had had a few and got very upset - Arthur was able to calm her down though. The dude, the woman and the last dude (who apologized all the way down the aisle for his companion) found their seats just beyond us and behind us. The guy just wouldn’t shut up - other fans were on him then. Then he said something very nasty to Tara and she lost it and went after him. Arthur grabbed her before she could leave her row and she did settle down some - the police finally came and got the dude and his companions and escorted them out. Tara was still angry and her language not the best and several fans asked her to chill as did Arthur - she did but a couple of the fans then started turning around and talking even after Arthur asked them to please just leave Tara alone they would not and one of them called the police and they did come and escort Tara and Arthur up to some seats back near the concourse - from there I can’t give first hand info. We don’t know the Smotherman’s but enjoyed sitting with them and hearing about Jalen. I will tell you they loved Tennessee - but they did feel betrayed by Butch after the bowl game. Tara was also worried that Jalen was going to get hurt with the way Butch was playing him - Arthur thought Jalen would be much more effective in the I formation. She stood up for all the players - including Aaron Medley - who had a rough prior year and my son expressed a lack of confidence and Tara stood right up for him (and not in an ugly way) and said we needed to support the players/kids. Bravo for her. So I have read the accounts of what happened later but I feel that if the dude hadn’t of started everything, Tara would have been just fine- a little drunk fine, but fine. They had been a pleasure to sit with until then.

He has nothing to gain whatsoever if UT hires Gruden.

Not a good thing for Mullen to have that out there..unless it's saying he's ready to go somewhere. Lot of season left to answer those questions. Starkville isn't that big

Mullen was under Urban Meyer...recruited Tebow...
Would be pretty easy to get that deal signed.

I am personally just trying to follow the UT situation for now.
But I have no doubt that a lot of people are communicating through several channels about each job. Some probably simultaneously.

You listen to the media they laugh at the idea of that even being thought about as a possibility.

Do they know something we don’t or do we now something they don’t or does anyone know anything of truth right now?

Good point....I don’t believe they are working together. Used a collective “they”. Seems to me there’s a definite internal battle going on between several groups.

I personally do not care about random tweets from people I do not know regarding potential coaches here at UT. Nor do I care about tweets from supposed sports journalist who only regurgitate the company line.
As to those that continue to come here to post their negative views, to me they are like a Muslim going into a Sunday morning worship service and trying to convince the entire congregation that Christianity is wrong. Maybe they have an argument, but they sure chose the wrong avenue to present their views. In other words....

Yes there were Grumors in 2012 that Gruden was going to get part ownership of the Browns. Doesn't seem legal to me.
