I'm all in for Gruden...but there is NOTHING substantial from anyone reputable suggesting anything "Grude" is going to happen.

Wasn't something "big" supposed to happen today according to these "insiders"?

If ya'll remember the other day I brought a post from VQ where the poster claimed that he had a friend that was a DI coach. He claimed he was contacted by Gruden to be a coach on his staff here. He even posted the screen shot of the texting. Anyway someone started a thread asking if he'd heard anything else from his buddy. This was his response:

The day Butch gets fired I’m getting drunk and celebrating harder than I did in 1998. Sad that UT football has come to this.

It just looks ridiculous to have Hyams making these statements, especially with the Kendrick news. Why say anything? It feels like we are all being held hostage to Butch and his stupid agent Sexton just so he can get another job and UT pays a couple less million.

Finebaum saying “No way Butch Jones leaves UT without his buyout.” Because there’s not enough substantial evidence to blame him for the concussion protocol.

This is where I am at as well... Right now, we're the punchline of the SEC. The right hire erases it quickly. Wrong or "meh" hire, laughing continues or even grows...

Which is kind of crappy if you think about it cause that's basically saying S AL is going to fire/not renew their coach's contract.

Just to save you the stress next week. If it happens during the season (unlikely), it will be on Sunday or early Monday. Too much goes on after Monday afternoon in preparation for a game that Saturday. Even moreso for away games.

I don’t hate him, I just don’t believe what he’s saying in this case. I’m sure he’s just repeating what he’s been told. My question is why is that the message when anyone with a shred of common sense can see that Butch needs to move on.

This has crossed my mind but so does a lot of everything else .... I am glad you bring it up, because I was thinking what Swain posted about Florida being out in front of us in the coaching search.... what he said was "perception" :good!:
