Don't think she is saying people are lying about Kendrick. TN has confirmed that he is out for the game this week so he definitely has a medical issue.
maybe they are lying that they knew about concussion and let him play anyways..Speculation of course

Maybe she means Butch when he said he did not have any idea or knowledge of his injury or suspected injury?!?!

Not if coaching staff was keeping BK away from med staff or failed to report their observations to med staff. This is ugly for the coaching staff.

My prediction is that there will be no public admission from UT, but Lyle, Wells and maybe others lost valuable leverage on their buyouts.

I agree but the responsibility lies directly on the med staff to observe and initiate treatment and protocols....other than taking hiding him behind coaches not sure how you can argue the blame lies across multiple channels and contractually 1st and foremost with the medical staff.

Above all I think this does more damage to Tennessee as a brand for recruiting and in light of our AD being on the field at Kentucky his responsibilities could be questioned to athlete safety... this is actually the worst thing that could happen for our Gruden hopes, would be an easy out if talks were still in process or could null a contract as well.

Vandy lawyer

For some dumb reason, I did not know, or my oldtimers kicked in again and if I did know I forgot

By the way, as some have surmised in this thread... I do NOT believe this news will have any affect on the Gruden deal NOT happening .... if anything it will force the AD's hand

I am still strongly at 70% chance we land him.... only thing that makes sense to me

I'm not here to "blow" Clay Travis, I can't listen to him half the time but Find something where he has reported and he has had to backtrack on... you may not like his opinion or style but he is a respected journalist not just a radio host

I actually like Travis. I think he is one of the more honest and thoughtful guys out there in his domain, but a journalist he simply is not. He's a talking head, in the same way Finebaum, Skip Bayless, Stephen A. Smith are.

Most of us who have been around for longer than a minute here know that this is absolutely factually incorrect. Not that the information about this particular situation is correct or incorrect, but in the past insiders have shared very correct information and days before anything was out in the media about it.

You may be right, but I'm sure there are a lot of "insiders" who get a kick out getting everyone worked up. You have to admit reliable sources generally don't hide behind a screen name. Also, vague information many times is hard to prove or disprove.

Of course I do....but one issue has nothing to do with the other.

No they go hand in hand, if Butch isn't here, then maybe BK doesn't play with a concussion.

Same could be said that it still could've happened, but they are in direct correlation to each other.

I'm no stranger to sarcasm sir, but this story from many on here is that Butch has been fired since UGA, and that sports networks know about it but not saying anything.

Now let me ask you this question.

If all that's gonna on so far from the stories on here for the past two weeks, Butch fired, buyout agreed, Gruden hired/coming, don't you think that'd be leaked out at some point?

But since it hasn't do you really think the AD has that tight a lead on this? If this story about the concussions is true, that's the last thing you'd think the AD would want leaked out there.

So.......I'm just asking what do we really believe now

Not going to the Gruden info, but if you can't see that Butch is not going to be the coach after this season and that after Georgia was the timeline, I can't help you.

Please tell me then why a sitting head coach in the SEC (that hasn't been fired) wouldn't tweet or retweet recruits for over 3 weeks now. Also, why have official visits been suspended? These are obvious and plain things that are not hard to find out. Why they are not being reported, I don't know. I will agree with Boro and all the others that have heard the same things....that he was told after Georgia that he wasn't going to be the Head Coach in 2018. The $64k question is why hasn't the trigger been pulled, and that is an answer not many people know.

The only 'reason' I have heard, and I apologize because it was offered by someone I cannot recall on one of the various radio shows I listened to yesterday and today, is that Currie feels like he got the reputation of a hatchet man over what went down with Fulmer and he is going the extra mile to let Butch exit gracefully in a effort to rehab that image.

While purely speculative, this sounds plausible.

I suspect Currie did not plan on Butch being 0-5 in SEC play; the total breakdown of our on-field performance; the loss of control of with the coaching staff; and the purported mishandling of a player concussion.

All of these have drastically changed the dynamics.

I'm of the opinion that Currie may well have his new coach lined up. How this plays out, remains to be seen. I think we all (for the most part) hope it is who we think it is.

I have reconciled to the belief of Butch having CCTV footage of Currie fondling his pocket presents.

Surely Currie has blisters on his fingers by now. In fact, they have to be bleeding.

How long is he going to play his fiddle during this five-alarm fire?

Exactly this. Sunshine pumpers will say Currie knows what he's doing but there's really no precedent for anything remotely close to this situation on his record.

Worst case scenario currie keeps butch cuz of incoming recruiting class. Still doesn't make sense cuz he's on such a hot seat that few recruits are gonna come with all the rumors swirling of butch being gone anyway the next year most likely. This is past point of keeping him under any circumstances.

Here's the thing to me... lets say, butch didnt know about kendrick at time... and if he was as bad as ive heard he was on the field not looking like he knew where he was at, missing blocks etc. Couldnt jones, or any of the other staff on the sidelines, or up in the box, tell that there was something majorly wrong with kendrick? Hell, ive been coaching for 20 years and can tell if something is wrong with one of my players.
