It’s apparent that the assessment has been made that the cost/benefit of keeping Butch is better than the alternative.

There is mounting evidence from news sources that Butch will not be retained. So, again, keeping him on board outweighs firing him in-season.

With multiple other vacancies opening now and likely after the season, the assumption would be from the outside that our AD is content competing with these other programs for a new HC, or already has a solution.

My own opinion is that Butch is here for the rest of this season providing necessary cover for what’s going on behind the scenes. I’m sure he doesn’t like it. And watching Shoop the other day backs that up. The silence coming from Fulmer, Manning, any other former player in the public’s eye, it’s deafening.

BTW, at his press briefings he looks misrerable. He isn’t the least bit enthusiastic about anything UT; homecoming, his players, his coaches, practices, there’s no humor, nothing. It’s like they’re shoving him out there to get it over with.

Problem is we look more foolish everyday. A zoo. Not a Hess reference btw

I hate it too. It makes me sick that I won't be using my season tickets... they'll be going to waste. But I am one who thinks Currie knows what he's doing and we'll see that once announcements are made.

Yep...only explanation and have had this thought since Beavers first few posts. If you have "your guy", there is no rush. HE will make everything ok once HE arrives! SOON...November 27th

The third explanation would be that the AD and University are completely inept. And unfortunately that’s the option with the best odds given our past.

Okay I thought you were drunk last night, now it appears you can't keep a basic level of decorum. Welcome to the ignore list.

Dude's a narcissist. Instead of joining the fun and contributing his information without any BS he made the whole thing about his reputation and reliability (and made people validate it on here so he could feel good about himself) and his fragile ego can't handle it when people tell him they don't care.

Not to be a party-pooper, but odds on betting sites are more a reflection of current betting trends than actual probabilities. They don’t care how likely an event is to actually occur, as much as ensuring the bets are even on both sides so they make money regardless.

This. And who else will be betting on who will be the next Tennessee head coach but Tennessee fans. So this betting line is really just a reflection of who Tennessee fans want to be their next head coach.
