Ok lets just stop with Kendrick having anything to do with CBJ's present or future. Everyone should know its the trainers and doctors who make that call, not the head coach. It has nothing to do with him and has nothing to do on whether he could be fired for cause. Only thing that will get CBJ fired is losing enough games to take a bowl off the table. Right now that sits at 3. That's it no matter what insider says what. Book it. Check my stats. Soon. Blah Blah Blah.

With you 100% on BK. I think it’s a stretch that CBJ played him concussed on purpose. That’s a training/medical staff issue.

I was just giving an example of why waiting could be beneficial.

That's fine - but waiting around for him to do something sketchy so you can fire him with cause isn't the best way to go about business.

They're going to try to negotiate the buyout regardless of when or why he is fired. That talk has already begun.

I do believe Sexton is working to find him another job. That's just the way Butch is. In 2015 he tried to get the Michigan job and was lining it up and last year he tried to line up the Purdue and North Carolina jobs.

Why would CBJ want to negotiate a buyout now? He’s got 4 weeks left and he’s gonna get the full buyout.

Nebraska announced an extension for Riley just a few months ago. Tennessee is a way better job as well. And I don’t see nebraska paying multiple buyouts and then overpaying Frost by a couple million.

There’s still a pretty good chance he lands somewhere other than Nebraska.

We extended Fulmer right before 08. :whistling:

I’d just like to see an announcement that this will be his final game, ask the fans to thank him for his work with applause instead of boycotting or booing, and let’s move on.

Some of you’ns Want blood tho

This is what I would love to happen. I want to have an opportunity to applaud Butch and thank him for his contribution and hard work to help bring this program out from the ashes. I wish he would step down in his press conference today and say that Saturday night is his last game coaching here. I think everyone would get behind that and give him a standing ovation as he leaves.

"On Sunday, I was told by a coaching source that Dan Mullen would jump from MSU to Florida, Tennessee, or Texas A&M job if he was offered. We will see if he gets an opportunity or not at any of those places"

Do you guys have Frost over him? I think we do.

Very little chance that happens, IMO

Not buying the BK talk

Me either. I think swain is though.

For us to fire him on a Wednesday it would definitely look like incompetence on our part unless something happened to trigger it. (Besides being awful at your job I mean.:))

We’ll take Frost and you take Mullen. Should become a rivalry again

Swain was on the Punch gate too though

He is a rumor chaser for ratings, IMO

True. Good point.

Didn't he have the "8 is enough" contract? 8 wins meant automatic extension. Is that how he was extended or did he sign that after 2007 and never get extended by way of that silliness?

Houston Kress and those guys were saying this morning that the pulse from other coaches are not really happy with how Florida handled Mac. Word supposedly is that frost is not very high on them either. I could see this since they fired coach after winning back to back east titles

Guy has my respect. Worked very hard and he almost had it here. So close to breaking through just couldn’t quite do it.

Gonna leave it better than he found it that’s for sure. Can’t say that for the 3 coaches who came before him.

While this is true, Fulmer, of course, accomplished way, way more than Butch did. I am not saying that you are implying that Butch is better than Fulmer, but I think some people still tend to understate what Fulmer did because of some of his struggles against Florida.

The firing.

Just throwing some things together I've heard.

Thunder has been a source of information for Hyams in the past. Hyams keeps saying he thinks Fulmer is really fighting against Butch being fired midseason because he was fired midseason and he knows how tough it is. Fulmer and Thunder are tight.

Throwing a wrench in the system, and delaying Butch's firing at Fulmer's insistence, is Thornton's way of saying "F you" to Currie.

Yeah, Fulmer was fired during the season but COACHED EVERY GAME. I doubt he’s intervening in this.

You mean coaches want to work for an AD that believes in finishing what is started and is against witch hunts???

Don't tell this board that

I thought it was Anderson that did not want Currie. I guess it was Thornton, too, because I am sure that he backed Fulmer.

I still don't get the incensed hatred that some fans have for him.

Yeah. Fulmer is a legend. I appreciate him more now than I ever did while he was here.

I guess I just mean that this place was a wreck when CBJ walked in and I hoped he would leave it better than he found it if nothing else and he's going to do that.
