It's peanuts. The season tickets have been paid. They just miss out on concession sales, and that's nothing compared to what they are about to pay out for buyouts and a new coach.

Less butts in seats means higher TV ratings and higher advertising dollars in the future.

Do whatever makes you feel empowered but it doesn’t really matter.

The wheels are turning in the right direction. Butch will not coach in 2018.

Whether he is fired today or coaches the rest of the season - IT DOES NOT MATTER.

Our new coach is going to be in place before Christmas.

He will bring in a recruiting class that fits his system

Name recognition matters

So quit whining for a piece of stew when there is a ribeye in the grill.

Thank you. So the folks exuding confidence (done deal...100%) can only be referring to one piece of the puzzle which suggests their confidence is being overstated in reference to the whole deal. So, no no one, Currie...JG, actually know what's going to happen. It's a fun ride though.

You are right they were sending out emails for season tickets and single game tickets. I went on the UT site after I started getting phone calls to see what was available and I was surprised by how many season tickets were available. After the Fla game last year I never went back and was able to sell the Bama tickets and after that it was hard to get face value out of them and ended up giving the last 2 home game tickets away.

Not going to argue your thoughts. I would say that just keep it in context of everything going on today and the proliferation of social media. The powers that be know exactly how we all feel. I have not been shy about my opinion with those I talk with. The tickets that are sold are sold at this point and the AD has those dollars in pocket.

I agree. I meant more in a sense that Currie better not wait to get the ball rolling when Butch is announced so poor choice of words on my part. At least have your guy. I'm for sure not in favor of acting quick to save a recruiting class. I'm just really really really hoping Currie shows some balls

This way of thinking will be why change is never made. There will be seniors every year. I agree it’s not fair to them but life isn’t fair and sometimes drastic measures need to be taken to influence change.

Money talks. If UT is truly more concerned with academics than athletics that’s fine but see how far they get without fan support and without a strong AD.

Look at how UA’s applications for admissions have increased since Saban. Why is that significant? I’ll tell you. Increase applications leads to greater completion, which leads to higher academic standards for students. Athletics and Academics go hand in hand.

Also, what happens to other athletics at UT without strong revenue from football?

I honestly don’t think our administration is smart enough to have a smokescreen for something else. Either Gruden is the main guy OR fans like us want it so bad that we created the buzz. Who knows? The administration might be doing nothing. Let’s hope for the best.

But that's just it, in this situation, if MIT and others are to be believed, then you have ONE MAN against a whole University, AD and numerous big money boosters there is no way one man can hold that up, no way.

If Currie has that much backing, he'd be untouchable if he got Gruden here. What would Haslam do then?

If the given information is true, then there is no way one man, no matter who he is, could hold this up, not with that many others on the other side. This isn't a jury trial here.

Agree 100%. The level and amount of negotiations and downright gamesmanship appears to be staggering. I can't fathom the discussions that are ongoing between all of the players involved in this. Each one has their own motivation, and each one has their own bail out moment. I just hope they don't pull those rip cords too soon. Let's get this done and put us back to where we belong, which is the end game that I think everybody agrees on. It's just a matter of "how" we get there is the disagreement.

Here's the real test for the #EmptyNeyland crowd. If Butch is retained, are you willing to give up your season tickets? If you're on the waiting list, are you willing to have you're name removed by eliminating your donation? Otherwise, you're making a statement in optics, not in real action.

Not whining , I dont see Butch being here next year. just dont have any faith in with the clowns running the show.

Make your point with tickets and support next year. This movement doesn't have any leverage in my opinion. The hay is already in the barn so to speak. Butch is gone. Support the kids the remainder of this year.
