Want change but don't think you'll get it?

you don't need to do that. Jones will not be coaching Tennessee in 2018

I’m starting to think your connections to the program are tied to butch and if he goes so do you and your connections. This and your other post today are pretty pro butch and only make sense to those that want to keep butch.

Fans DO need to stop going to games and taking the handcuffs off and stopping the micromanagement of the staff would help this team tremendously. Also players won’t simply stop going to school and practice cause butch is suddenly gone. They have dreams and goals too, whether that’s the nfl or a degree that’ll give them a career.

So please explain your sudden pro butch/keep butch stance in a way that’s not complete bs.

As Lee Corso says "Not so fast my friend". Been going to UT games on and off since my first one, 1965. Even got a diploma somewhere it Ed Bolings signature on it.

What am I supposed to do? Go to Bama games because they are winning?

I love Bimbo's Fireworks.

The people who think they are supporting the players by coming to the games no matter what are actually doing the exact opposite. You're effectively voicing support for the players to be coached by a man who has thus far shown he is consistently unable to create an environment for the majority of his players to be successful on the field. What's he doing is giving most of his players a bad resume for NFL scouts. It's therefore robbing them of potential income that could have been earned by having a competent coach giving his players direction and said environment to thrive and show everyone their talent. Want to help the players? Fire Butch and bring in a person who can make them successful in their future football careers.

I would never coach here because idiots like you are so many in numbers.

What would the players think though? They work their tails every week...it's not their fault they have incompetent coaches and administration. It's hard not to feel bad for the kids for having to go through this.

Who constantly pays steak prices for a dooo sandwich?

Precisely.

Decades ago Vols fans paid burger prices and got burgers, occasionally a steak.

Now they want us to pay for a steak every year and we don’t even get burgers.

It’s ridiculous and laced in greed. Then the admin puts it back on the AD and coaches to project that greed on the fan base.

You, yes you, are the consumer. You want change but don't think the admin will do it? Make them. It's that simple. Stop paying for and physically going to games. They will be forced to make a change. Free market society is the way of the free world. Don't believe me? Try it....

But, but, what will that do to the recruiting class everyone is so concerned about? How will recruits feel when they see a lack of fan support through thick and thin? How will withholding money from UT allow them to afford the buyout and top dollar salaries everyone is so anxious for UT to dish out? Seems like an attempt to cut ones nose off to spite the face. Maybe a bit more thought before a rant might be in order?

If you believe that the AD truly has the heft to make a difference, you are sadly mistaken.

Revolving doors from FB coach to the university president, and everyone is surprised at the result.

Coaches and administrators who "love the university" walk away with millions in buyouts...

There is one way to fix this, the Board of Trust. When a company flounders, after the president is fired...members of the board of directors are replaced.

You want changes, start there.

Larry, I think you said a couple of weeks ago that you thought Frost would end up being the direction Tennessee went in. Do you still feel that way? I think this would be an outstanding hire personally.

If you don't support the program, it is better for all that you stay home. Don't feel forced to spend your time or money on something you don't support.

Come back when the team is winning and tell everyone that you are the Vols number one fan in all of the world. Tell your friends that you are a winner because the Vols are winning.

Do you know who will? Ok how about do you if Currie knows who will be coaching next year?@

Currie doesn't know at this juncture. All he is doing is compiling a list of potential interviews and the order of them when he is ready to start that part of the process. I'm feel certain he would like a coach in place by the SECCG

Not that anything you said really makes sense, but LWS was around with info long before Butch was.

You think Kelly or Gundy gets a look? Also, what's your opinion on Gruden now?

I am definitely not excited about UT football with Jones as coach. Same ole stuff no change. Another year of his stupid sayings it will be easy to tune him out. We are a football joke!

I'm at 2% on Gruden. Just never thought it close to happening. He ends up following his head (doesn't like college coaching) rather than his heart (friendships and love for Tennessee). Heard this morning dead but I understand we have people that will continue to call him

Kelly won't get into the SEC anywhere..

Gundy ain't leaving Oklahoma St and I seriously doubt we would even look his way. He has played us twice for raises.

Not what I wanted to hear, but thanks for the reasonable reply. :good!:
