Ahh...you guys are bringing back memories now. 91-94. One of the best concerts I ever went to was Garth Brooks at Thompson Boling. Some of the bars I remember...

Ivy's, Lap, Library, Cotton Eyed Joes, Hoorays in the OC, little jazz bar in the OC, reggae bar in the OC, bar right below Killer Pizza (saw the greatest Door's cover band there- the Backdoors I think). I used to work at Spaghetti Warehouse in the OC and we would go to the jazz bar right across the street every night after work to wind down, spent all my tip money at that place. Then we'd hit the Underground.

Velcro Pygmies, Mel and the Party Hats, Immortal Chorus, Tall Paul at the Library...memories.

Velcro Pygmies still play around where I live a good bit. Sadly their bass player and his brother drowned in the Tennessee river not that long ago. Very tragic.

You see I’m having to ask everyone the names. Had way to much and many good times at a lot of them. We all probably crossed paths back then. I have been around Volnation since Fulmer was asked to step aside what twenty or thirty years ago lol. I feel like I know a lot of you and I used to post years ago but forgot my username so reenlisted a couple of years ago and just started posting again.

The pizza place across from taco bell. And that ****ing bar hhu oh could wash your clothes at, suds I think?

So I have a serious question?? Is Jimmy Sexton the problem here? I was listening to Bomani Jones on espn radio and he was talking about how butch just signed Jimmy Sexton this year to be his agent. Does he have something to do with the hold up? Or with why butch is still here? Just doesn’t make sense to me. It’s like Butch Jones has the upper hand on our AD for some reason and explains why Currie looks so distraught on the sidelines.

Just another fan theory lol.

Gruden till it ain’t!!

Swain indicated this morning that Jimmy is probably saying take the $5m and run..a # I hadn't heard until he said it

We had Drivin n Cryin play in our apartment one night. Lived at Grand Forest Townhomes right off 17th (?) street and had a roommate in a band called the Used. They opened for DnC that night and got them to come over. Really cool...

Same night my brother humped a moose in the pool...long story.
what year was this?

I was at that Garth concert. 107.7 Listener appreciation show at world's Fair Park....about 1991. It was just before he hit it big with his second album.

you guys bringing back memories. The coliseum used to be a frequent venue for some wild concerts in the seventies. I think I must have saw the majority of them. Even saw Waylon Jennings around 1975 at the fairgrounds. Great times.

Thoughts tonight.

1. This cold snap feels like football weather! I wish I could look forward to Saturday a little more than I do.

2. PM being the middle of this, and working to make it work, makes me a kind of happy I can't explain. Mostly because it alleviates any doubts that Gruden would be the home run hire we need. (That's what I choose to believe. I have no idea if all of this is true or not.)

3. I wanna hear more about R2. :)

4. If it can be worked out to announce HCJG tomorrow, that would make my halloween costume completely epic!!!

I understood what you were saying by "opposite of BANTA." From a quick read on KH it appears the values can be perceived to better but in the end may not be..is this based on PM's fund raising. It's an unknown variable.

The way I perceive this is that in KH one side can agree to a value loss so long as another party who is improved by the change contributes to improve on the value reduced party.

In concrete terms: (pure hypothetical) If the Gruden side (boosters) needs to change the school schedule in order to satisfy some demand, then the academic side lose value (an inefficiency). However, if Peyton could come in and offer enough value (somehow) then the academic side may absorb the value loss from schedule change in order to improve their position in net value (a new lab, books, equipment, etc.).

The wiki bit about something not happening is ultimately a stretch here. That equivalent in the above hypothetical would be Peyton's non-performance of an agreed upon duty.

Just thinking here... what about PM becoming the face of the venture firm (LAF) for UT - to be able to raise funds for the academic side (to replace any funds perceived by that side to be lost in the coaching deal).

First post..nice..don't need an update apparently.

Starting to feel like a lab rat
