Gruden is beside the point right now. the 2018 coach is beside the point right now.

the current situation is eroding everything.

I don't think this is about academics expecting handouts. The academics are the ones that eventually become billionaires that continue the circle of funding. The athletics simply cannot exist without the academics.

I worked with major donors at another sec university - much more successful raising funds for the academic side when the football team was winning. And yes, those donors were graduates of that university who became successful business men and women.

Our academic leaders would be wise to see this.

is it logical to think they have there man, and it can't be announced because of some contract they are under? So it is better to bite the bullet and let CBJ finish the season to decrease his buyout?

So you would rather Currie waste his time appeasing a bunch of idiots as he has to answer questions about what his latest tweet mean, rather than tending to the business at hand?

Basilio says Haslims like always are standing in the way right now, and also the Haslims are being investigated by the FBI so they have more important things on there mind than football. The haslims run UT PERIOD. Nothing is done without running it by them first and ok'd. I look if this doesnt happen for it to be The Haslims fault. They need to step back and let the AD take care of business and thanked for there money but they are not needed to run the program.

That's what is irritating. They used to, but they don't today. Tennessee is one of very few athletic depts in the country that has historically given back to the academic side. There were lean years where bailing out had to happen, but with the right hire this go around they could really set things back up like they used to be and then some!
