It was not the Gators. It wasn't who that would of been volatile. It wasn't he package deal that would have been volatile.

Didn't happen...non-factor. All is well.

I am referring to the fact that MIT posted in these thread several times statement like... "RELAX", "WE HAVE OUR WHITE WHALE", 'IT IS 100% DONE", "DON'T WORRY", "JUST WAIT AND SEE" etc....

If someone needs to sign off on the deal and it must be accepted before complete it is not done...

My business requires contracts everyday... I NEVER have a contract until it has been signed and sealed by both parties.... I have many times "Thought" I had a deal but it fell through at the last minute... Those type deals had a high percentage of chance of happening but they were NOT 100% sure

I HOPE MIT is correct... I believe what he and you are NOW revealing is very close to the truth... but we were at this same place in 2012 and the new news at Florida is BIG here,,, I hope we can get it done...

SOON!

Well if we are implying it has to be a signed government employee contract I am at 0%. Something may change. I don't have the inside knowledge MIT allegedly has. I am an outsider. We are not in the same place. Before all boosters were not all in. Now they seem to be. Only obstacle is the school. MIT seems to be saying the AD. This tiime the boosters are banded together and putting the ad or whoever in a bad spot. Not a good place to be if money dries up. Florida is not a player here. Nice place to visit but that's about it if you know what I mean. Although Kiffin is.

Raging Orange it looks like you were posting this as I was typing. I'm glad because it proves that my analysis is rational. In the military before every flight in combat you get two versions of the enemy activity.

MLCOA: Most likely coarse of action
MDCOA: Most dangerous course of action

MLCOA is Beaver is correct and using the fanbase to help push the deal and agenda.

MDCOA: The administration calls their bluff and the UT Football program is at square one with no assistance from Boosters.

TIFWIW..again, I'm just guy who analyzes every little piece of sand for a place to land when under fire. Sometimes you get it right, sometimes you don't and land somewhere else.

I agree with both assessments. And that is what MIT is alluding to. He says from the money angle deal is done if they will just capitulate on the demands, if not, enjoy being the new Vandy

I believe Beaver's information is correct to the best of his knowledge, mainly because it's rational and Atlanta Vol is vetted and MIT can accurately answer some questions.

Con may have not been the right word. I do believe VN and the fans are being used as leverage, and that noone knew how long this timeline would play out (long game). We still don't. UT's various factions are in he middle of high stakes poker. I will say, if I was setting something up and using the name MIT I would be ready to substantiate that, TN fan..check, in LA..check. You see the point.

Something has happened that causes me to proceed cautiously. Again, I'm not an insider.

So is Beaver a troll....I think no....is Beaver a chess piece..Yes!

I mentioned many threads ago, that the interwebz is a powerful tool, if used wisely.

And these Gruden threads will be used as case study in university psychology and social engineering courses.

This whole drama is quite interesting.

From what I understand, there is no number 2. If the utad doesn't accept Gruden, booster money goes away. We probably just keep Butch...which is why we aren't seeing an interim yet. Butch brings in ok attendance, costs less than a big name, and keeps the gpa in good standing for the players. He's great in the minds of the academic dept. However, if they want to continue to see donations, they better get in line...My thing is...will the boosters fold, or the university?

If the university doesn't fold...we are Vandy and football is relatively over for us on Saturdays.

Boosters got screwed last time, I doubt they fold this time. I believe it’s why we’re seeing the info campaign this time from their side.

I would be on board with this. Refuse to accept Gruden? Fine. You can keep Butch and try to figure out a way to pay his buyout and all the other stuff you need money for, cause we're not giving it anymore.

Y'all need to understand, and I'm sure many of you do, that this isn't about the boosters financially supporting the AD. This is about every single facet of the university having the necessary funding.

Impossible to become a top 30 public research university without shiny new labs. No shiny new labs without mega-boosters that love to watch winning football.

Exactly.

Education is big money.

They would do well to know their place.

Football is big revenue.

I said early on that if I wanted to influence betting or ins this case, public opinion, I would send a man in who could do that.

I understand this..... Would love to see Kiffin at Florida and Gruden at Tennessee ... what an epic battle that would be each year.... not to mention Gruden vs Saban

what a crappy day work has sucked and Butch still has a job. Anybody hiring I'll move if need be need at least 50k yr I'm in retail management. The only way this day cold get any worse would be Currie addressing the media and saying Butch will be back next year.

Wouldn’t shock me, honestly wouldn’t.
