Thank you for the update. Have you ever tried the Alton Brown method of steaming and then frying?

I have, but I didn't like the process. I think the double frying really achieves the same thing.

I wouldn't worry about reading too much. There is an awful lot of "the sky is falling" in there.

The funny thing is, I was keeping up with the score on my phone last night and I thought we had finally scored an offensive touchdown. I saw the last 5 minutes of the game at a "Post Party", but I did not know until this morning that the offence still hasn't found the end-zone!

No, we scored 2 offensive Tds. And, of course, a bunch of FGs.

Gruden wants to be our coach, the money, and the requirements are there. Boosters have both a carrot and a stick for the AD. The stick is big enough to ensure that the AD will take the carrot hence my 100% confidence.

And for the folks who want to hyper analyze everything I say-

Carrot = Gruden paid for by boosters + all of the additional revenue Gruden brings to UT.

Stick = Completely cutting off donations and support to the university worth many millions + decreases in football revenue because Volnation is apathetic.

Thank you MIT! May I ask if a certain booster who wields a lot of power here is on board as well (has---)? I would think that's important or it has been in the past. Also, how many millions are we talking about the boosters are threatening to pull? Just for fun.

Want to put the dying thing out of it's misery. That's how I felt last night when Kentucky went ahead in that final minute. Nothing is going to get better till we clean house.

I woke up just a few moments ago and of course the first thing I do is come back in here. I know that is sad but I just had to make sure I didn't just dream that we had lost to KY. Nope, it is reality. Now we just must sit and wait to see if our dream turns into an even worse nightmare. Butch continuing to be the head football coach at UT.

I have followed, on VN, every single coaching search and staff hire since Fulmer coached. Coaching searches and Signing Days are the funnest times around here. It's like Christmas. This Gruden bonanza is like every one of those sagas wrapped into one. You could even throw the Bryce Brown thread in too. If this Gruden thing doesn't pan out, I might be burned out on coaching searches. This one has been exhausting to keep up with. I guess because so much is riding on this hire. Feels like desperation.

I agree that it has been more exhausting this time. Particularly since Butch hasn't even been fired yet! Well, that we officially know of.
