Nah, Mac is at least 1 tier above Butch. He’s won the East twice with less talent than we’ve had.

Tennessee has reached out to Chip. Money wasn't an issue, it was other stuff. Currie of course hasn't contacted anyone yet BC Butch is still coaching.

Kelly or Frost will probably bag the Florida job if it comes open. Chip being a west coast guy is an eye roller, he'll take the best situation for him as a coach and Florida is a top five opening.

Tennessee is going to end up with someone like Durkin, Brown, Brohm, possibly Frost if he's still on the board and I think the Nebraska opening is overplayed.

Kelly can wait on the right job and Florida is a much more appealing position than Tennessee...if Kelly isn't next Gator coach i bet it will be Kiffin...either way we will continue to struggle against the Gators....we are 9-26 over the last 50 years....managing back to back wins only twice...we've actually had better results against Bama - going 17-32 over the last 50 years...

They want Kelly but if they don't get a strong feel from him it will never go public. Saban was bama's second choice and he told them no at least two times before they landed him. Charlie Strong was going to be the coach at Tennessee until he had a last minute change of heart.

Chip Kelly isn't a West Coast guy. He's from New Hampshire.

Florida has had more talent than we have had...Butch got us closer but they have more talent...they've put almost 3x the number of players in the NFL over the last two seasons and have more future NFL picks on this team than we do...

Strong made a mistake, imo. UT was a better fit for him. He would've been able to leverage his SEC experience and Fla recruiting ties. He might have suceeded well at UT.

Thats the Tennessee way. I still think Tn screws this up and will wait until Dec to fire Butch and we end up with another Butch type hire and then Currie will try to convince the fan base that they just hired the best coach in the country and everybody will have to google his name to find out who it is. We all are getting ready to find out if this University is committed to winning or not.
